Amrit Sagar is a director, producer and writer who works in the Hindi movie industry (Bollywood). He produced and directed his first feature film 1971 in 2007.
He is the grandson of filmmaker Ramanand Sagar and son of producer Moti Sagar.
He studied film-making at California College of Arts where he won the Wood Malcom award for writing.

A talent hunt show for the new face was conducted by Swwapnil Joshi on Marathi Music channel 9X Jhakaas and Prarthana Behere was selected as the second lead. The film released on 13 February 2015. "Savar Re Mana", sung by Swapnil Bandodkar, Janhavi Prabhu-Arora & composed by Nilesh Moharir was trending among the Marathi people and has become popular. The song "Dur Dur" sung by Swapnil Bandodkar Bela Shende and Adarsh Shinde has also become popular. The second song "Satyam Shivam Sundaram" from the film was released in Zee Gaurav Puraskar on 26 October. The film was clear Box Office hit, continuing for more than 25 weeks across Maharashtra.
Aga Bai Arechyaa 2 is a 2015 Indian Marathi language film directed and also co-written by Kedar Shinde. It is a sequel to the blockbuster Marathi movie Aga Bai Arrecha!. According to some film critics, Aga Bai Arechyaa 2 had one of the best background scores in the Marathi film industry. The music was also very well accepted by the audiences. Director Kedar Shinde is well known to have good music in all his films, he being the grandson of the late Shahir Sable. The movie was produced by Narendra Firodia, Bela Shende and Sunil Lulla under the banner of Kedar Shinde Productions and Anushka Motion Pictures & Entertainment and was distributed by Eros International. The film features a cast of Sonali Kulkarni, Dharamendra Gohil, Surabhi Hande, Shivraj Waichal, Milind Fatak, Bharat Jadhav, and Prasad Oak, with Siddharth Jadhav making a special appearance. The movie was released worldwide on 22 May 2015.
