The Isle of Man, also known as Mann, is a self-governing British Crown dependency situated in the Irish Sea between Great Britain and Ireland. The head of state, Queen Elizabeth II, holds the title of Lord of Mann and is represented by a lieutenant governor. The United Kingdom has responsibility for the island's military defence.
The Diocese of Sodor and Man is a diocese of the Church of England. Originally much larger, today it covers just the Isle of Man and its adjacent islets. Today, the bishop's office is in Douglas and the cathedral is in Peel. The diocese is not generally called either "Sodor diocese" or "Man diocese".
Ayre United A.F.C. are a football club based in the village of Kirk Andreas, Andreas parish, Ayre in the Isle of Man. They compete in the Isle of Man Football League Division Two. They wear tangerine and black strips and play home games at the Andreas Playing Fields in Andreas village.
Manx English, or Anglo-Manx, is the historic dialect of English spoken on the Isle of Man, though today in decline. It has many borrowings from Manx, a Goidelic language, and it differs widely from any other variety of English, including dialects from other areas in which Celtic languages are or were spoken, such as Welsh English and Hiberno-English.

Sulby Manx: Sulby is a village in the parish of Kirk Christ Lezayre is located on the A3 Castletown to Ramsey in the Isle of Man.
Royal Air Force Andreas or more simply RAF Andreas is a former Royal Air Force station in the Isle of Man which was operational between 1941 and 1946. It was built in fields between Andreas and Bride. As was common practice, the station was named after the parish in which it was situated.
Andreas or Kirk Andreas Manx: Andreas is a village on the Isle of Man, lying in the north of the island, 5km from the island's second town, Ramsey. There is a large, and nowadays little used airfield in the vicinity.
