Andrew Gregory is a British journalist, writer, producer, director, and photographer, and the health editor of The Guardian . [1]

He is the recipient of numerous accolades, including the Royal Statistical Society prize for investigative journalism, [2] a Press Gazette Award, [3] three Press Awards, [4] [5] [6] a Guild of Health Writers Award, [7] and a Medical Journalists' Association Award. [8]

In 2025, Gregory executive produced Of All the Things, [9] an animated short film about hoarding disorder which will screen at the BAFTA-qualifying Aesthetica Film Festival. [10]

Career

Gregory was appointed the health editor of The Guardian in 2021. [11] Previously, he was the health editor of The Sunday Times . [12]

In 2023, Gregory won the Royal Statistical Society prize for investigative journalism [2] and the Medical Journalists' Association's top news prize [8] for revealing how black and Asian people in England had to wait longer than white people for a cancer diagnosis. [13]

In 2025, Gregory executive produced Of All the Things, [9] an animated short film about hoarding disorder. Next, he will produce an animated short film about alcohol addiction, Small Hours, starring Robert Bathurst. [14]
