Ann N. Nderitu, CBS, is the Registrar of Political Parties and CEO of the Office of the Registrar of Political Parties (ORPP) in Kenya [1] .In 2018, she took on the role in an acting capacity, and in 2020, she was formally appointed to the position after undergoing a competitive recruitment process and parliamentary vetting by then President of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta [2] . She continues to serve in this capacity.
With a career spanning 16 years in Election Management and Governance, including 10 years at the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) in Kenya [3] , Ms Nderitu is an expert and practitioner in this field. She has co-authored over 20 manuals, curriculums, and guides in education, elections management, and political parties' governance, actively used in electoral and governance training.[3]
She firmly believes in promotion of good governance through justice, fairness, inclusion, tolerance and the rule of law within purview of responsible citizenship and patriotism [4] .

The Registrar holds a Master’s Degree in Linguistics, Bachelor of Education (English and Literature) from The University of Nairobi and Moi University respectively; Diploma in Public Administration from Galilee International Management Institute (Israel); Diploma in Project Management, Human Resource, Corporate Governance, Transformative Leadership among other professional certification.

The 2018 Kenya handshake was a political truce made on 9 March 2018 between Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta and former Kenyan Prime Minister Raila Odinga. Peninnah Gathoni Muchomba popularly known as Gathoni Wa Mucomba is a Kenyan journalist, entrepreneur and politician. She is the Member of Parliament for Githunguri Constituency in the bicameral Kenyan parliament since 2022 and a member of the ruling party, UDA. She formerly vied and won the Kiambu women representative post in the 2017 General election.
