Anthony LaPanta is a sports personality with Bally Sports North.
LaPanta is the host of Twins Live, a pregame/postgame show for the Minnesota Twins and the TV voice of the Minnesota Wild. He was hired by the franchise in 2012. He has covered Twin Cities sports since 1991. He has also served as a fill in play-by-play voice for the Minnesota Golden Gophers men's hockey team and the Minnesota Twins and the Minnesota Timberwolves. He was the voice of the St. Paul Saints for ten years before joining Fox Sports North. He has won two Emmy Awards; one for play-by-play; the other for hosting/anchoring. His partner for Wild telecasts is either Mike Greenlay, Ryan Carter, Wes Walz, Lou Nanne, or Krissy Wendell. LaPanta is a graduate of Totino-Grace High School in Fridley, Minnesota and St. John's University in Collegeville, Minnesota.

He has also called Minnesota Golden Gophers men's basketball and Minnesota Golden Gophers football and hockey. He previously called Iowa Hawkeyes men's basketball and Minnesota North Stars games during his tenure. He partners up with Justin Morneau, LaTroy Hawkins, Roy Smalley or Glen Perkins for the Minnesota Twins television broadcasts. His longtime broadcast partner was Bert Blyleven.
The Minnesota True Team State Meet was created in 1987 by the Minnesota State High School Coaches Association to determine the top overall team based on depth rather than top finishers. In a traditional track and field meet, only the top eight or nine competitors per event score points. In the True Team meet, each team has two competitors per event for A and AA and three competitors for AAA as well as one relay team, with each competitor scoring. Since 2005, Minnesota now holds a True Team State swim meet.

Tom Hanneman was an American play-by-play television announcer for the Minnesota Timberwolves basketball team of the National Basketball Association (NBA) and had been with the franchise since its inception in 1989 until he joined Fox Sports North in 2012. Prior to that, Hanneman was a sports and general assignment reporter for CBS affiliate WCCO-TV in Minneapolis, Minnesota. During his time at WCCO, Hanneman drew national attention when he was held hostage while covering the 1979 Red Lake Indian Reservation uprising. His time as a Timberwolves commentator also led to him doing some national and international NBA broadcasts. Tom Hanneman died on December 18, 2020. He was 68 years old at the time of his death.
