The Districts of Ghana are second-level administrative subdivisions of Ghana, below the level of region. There are currently 261 local metropolitan, municipal and district assemblies.
Enchi is a town located in the Western North Region of Ghana. It is the capital of the Aowin Municipality. Other major towns in the Municipality includes: Old and New Yakasi, Achimfo, Boinso, Jema, Omanpe, Sewum, Jensue, Yiwabra, Yiwabra Nkwanta, Nyankomam, Kwawu, Abochia, and Jomoro. The largest water body in the Municipality is the Tano river whose tributary, the Desue (Disue), flows through the township of Enchi.
Wassa Amenfi West Municipal District is one of the fourteen districts in Western Region, Ghana. Originally it was formerly part of the then-larger Wassa Amenfi District in 1988, which was created from the former Aowin-Amenfi District Council, until eastern part of the district was split off to create Wassa Amenfi East District in August 2004; thus the remaining part has been renamed as Wassa Amenfi West District. Later, another part of the district was split off to create Wassa Amenfi Central District on 28 June 2012; thus the remaining part has been retained as Wassa Amenfi West District. However, on 15 March 2018, it was later elevated to municipal district assembly status to become Wassa Amenfi West Municipal District. The municipality is located in the northern part of Western Region and has Asankragua as its capital town.

Originally it was formerly part of the then-larger Wassa Amenfi District in 1988, which was created from the former Aowin-Amenfi District Council, until the eastern part of the district was split off to create Wassa Amenfi East District in August 2004; thus the remaining part has been renamed as Wassa Amenfi West District. However, on 15 March 2018, it was later elevated to municipal district assembly status to become Wassa Amenfi East Municipal District. The municipality is located in the northern part of Western Region and has Wassa-Akropong as its capital town.
Suaman is one of the constituencies represented in the Parliament of Ghana. It elects one Member of Parliament (MP) by the first past the post system of election. Suaman is located in the Aowin/Suaman district of the Western North Region of Ghana.
Elubo is a town in the Jomoro district, a district in the Western Region of Ghana, and is located near the border with the Ivory Coast. 2021 census indicate that, Elubo have a settlement population of 23,952 people. The current Omanhene of Elubo is Nana Kesse Panyin III. The mayor of the town, along with the district, is Hon. Louisa Iris Arde.
Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipal District, as at 2024, is one of the fifteen districts in Western Region, Ghana. Originally, it was formerly part of the then-larger Wassa West District in 1988, which was created from the former Wassa-Fiase-Mpohor District Council, until the northern part of the district was split off to create Prestea-Huni Valley District on 29 February 2008; thus the remaining part has been renamed as Tarkwa-Nsuaem District, which was later elevated to municipal district assembly status on that same year to become Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipal District. It has a population of about 218,664 people. The municipality is located in the eastern part of Western Region and has Tarkwa as its capital town.
Bia West District is one of the nine districts in Western North Region, Ghana. Originally it was formerly part of the then-larger Bia District in August 2004, which was created from the former Sefwi-Bibiani District Council, until the northeast part of the district was split off to create Bia East District on 28 June 2012; thus the remaining part has been renamed as Bia West District. The district assembly is located in the northwest part of Western North Region and has Sefwi Essam as its capital town.
Bia East District is one of the nine districts in Western North Region, Ghana. It was formerly part of the then-larger Bia District until the Eastern part was split off in 2012 to form the Bia East District while the Western part was renamed as Bia West District.The district assembly is located in the northwest part of Western North Region and has Sefwi Adabokrom as its capital town. The larger Bia District was created from the former Sefwi-Bibiani District in 2004.
Enchi College of Education is a teacher education college in Enchi, Western North Region, Ghana. It is one of the 46 public colleges of education in Ghana. The college participated in the DFID-funded T-TEL programme. Mr. Philip Ntaah has been the Principal since May 2019.

The district assembly is located in the southern part of Western North Region and has Dadieso as its capital town.

John Kwekuchur Ackah is a Ghanaian politician and a member of the 2nd and 3rd parliament of the 4th republic of Ghana. He is a former member of Parliament for the Aowin Suaman constituency in the Western Region a member of the National Democratic Congress political party in Ghana.
The N12 or National Highway 12 is a national highway in Ghana that begins at the Ghana - Côte d'Ivoire border in the Western Region of Ghana and travels generally north to Hamile on the Ghana - Burkina Faso border. Its total length is 670 kilometres.
Arthur Sibieko Bullu is a Ghanaian politician and a member of the first Parliament of the fourth Republic representing the Aowin-Suaman Constituency in the Western Region of Ghana. He represented the National Democratic Congress.

It was originally created as a district council in 1975, but in 1988, it was split off into two new district assemblies: Wassa Amenfi District and Aowin/Suaman District. The district council was located in the northern part of the Western Region and had Asankragua as its capital town.
