Archie's Pals 'n' Gals was an ongoing comic book series published by Archie Comics featuring Archie and his friends. It originally ran from 1952 to 1991. The title showcased other members of the Archie gang, such as Betty and Veronica, Jughead and Reggie. It was later brought back in the form of a digest magazine in 1992.

Publication history

The most notable issue was 1962's #23, which featured the second appearance of Josie, Melody and Pepper, a week after the debut of the She's Josie comic book. [1] Josie and Melody would go on to become two-thirds of Josie and the Pussycats in issue #45 of Josie's own title.

In 1992, a year after the 32-page regular-sized comic book was canceled, a new Archie's Pals 'n' Gals Double Digest title was launched, which ran until being canceled in 2011 with issue #146.

Together the pair form the female part of the classic love triangle which has become a staple of the comic series since 1942.

<i>Mighty Crusaders</i>

The Mighty Crusaders is a fictional superhero team published by Archie Comics. The team originally appeared in Fly-Man No. 31, #32 and No. 33 before being launched in its own title, Mighty Crusaders. Written by Superman co-creator Jerry Siegel, the series lasted seven issues before being cancelled. The team was revived under Archie's Red Circle Comics line in 1983. In 1992 DC Comics licensed the characters and relaunched the team as The Crusaders, aiming the comic at younger readers as part of its !mpact line. This series lasted eight issues, cover-dated May to December 1992.

Dark Circle Comics is an imprint of Archie Comics Publications, Inc. Under its previous name, Red Circle Comics, it published non-humor characters, particularly superheroes in the 1970s and 1980s, and was a digital imprint from 2012 to 2014. Laugh Comics Digest was a publication of Archie Comics that lasted for 200 issues from August 1974 through April 2005. The title was noteworthy because it was not restricted to any character—it often included reprints of stories featuring the popular spinoff character Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, as well as That Wilkin Boy and Super Duck, and sometimes even included reprints from the very obscure title Cosmo the Merry Martian.

Wilbur Comics was a comic book published from 1944 to 1965. The comic featured the fictional character Wilbur Wilkin, a contemporary of Archie. Wilbur Wilkin actually made his first appearance in Zip Comics #18, three months before Archie's first appearance. Wilbur also made appearances in several other Archie comics, such as Pep Comics, as a backup feature. Of particular note, popular Archie character Katy Keene made her first appearance in Wilbur Comics #5. This title was published originally under the imprint of MLJ Magazines, which then became Archie comics starting with issue #8. After issue #87, the book went on hiatus until August 1963's #88. Archie's TV Laugh-Out was a comic book published by Archie Comics from 1969 to 1986. Sabrina the Teenage Witch appears in all 106 issues, and this title served as a transition for her from Archie's Mad House to her own title. The first issue introduced Sabrina's boyfriend, Harvey Kinkle.

Reggie and Me is an ongoing comic book series featuring the Archie Comics character Reggie Mantle. The character first appeared in Jackpot Comics #5. He received his own self-titled ongoing comic book series in 1950 which ran on and off until September 1980. A second series began publication in December 2016, being set in Archie Comics New Riverdale universe with a new character design aesthetic and a more mature story format and scripting, aimed for older, contemporary teenage and young adult readers. Even the printed comic book format is different from the previous publications.
