In professional wrestling, kayfabe is the portrayal of staged events within the industry as "real" or "true", specifically the portrayal of competition, rivalries, and relationships between participants as being genuine and not staged. The term kayfabe has evolved to also become a code word of sorts for maintaining this "reality" within the direct or indirect presence of the general public.

The Rey de Reyes is an annual tournament held by Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA) comparable to WWE’s King of the Ring tournament. For the first six tournaments the format consisted of four-way elimination matches with four qualifiers and a final, but in later tournaments the format changed. The winner is usually either currently one of the top faces or heels of the promotion or a wrestler that AAA is hoping to push to the main event position. The winner is presented with a sword, which some have carried with them for a full year. The event usually also features additional matches not related to the Rey de Reyes tournament.

Real Fuerza Aérea was a Mexican professional wrestling group, or stable, active in the Mexican professional wrestling promotion Asistencia, Asesoría y Administración (AAA) and consists of young tecnicos who all use a high flying, high risk wrestling style.

Óscar Omar Puentes Molgado is a Mexican luchador under the ring name El Ángel. Puentes worked under the ring name Óscar Sevilla from 1997 until 2005 where he adopted the "El Ángel" ring character. He is manly known for his work in the Mexican professional wrestling promotion Asistencia Asesoría y Administración (AAA) which he worked for until mid-2009. He current works on the Mexican independent circuit and makes regular appearances for the Los Perros del Mal and International Wrestling Revolution Group promotions amongst others and occasionally works as El Novillero.

Mirzha Adán Uribe Nava is a Mexican luchador, or professional wrestler, known for his work with Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA) under the ring name Argenis. His ring name is the Latin word for Silver. Argenis is the son of retired professional wrestler Dr. Karonte and has wrestled as Dr. Karonte Jr. in the past, as well as Hijo del Dr. Karonte. Until 2023, Argenis' real name was not a matter of public record, as is often the case with masked wrestlers in Mexico where their private lives are kept a secret from the wrestling fans. He is the brother of professional wrestlers Místico, Astro Boy, Argos, and Mini Murder Clown.

Elegido is best known for his appearances with the Mexican professional wrestling promotion AAA, where he has worked primarily as a tecnico and for a while as a member of the rudo stable Los Mirreyes alongside Alan Stone and Toscano. He has also worked for International Wrestling Revolution Group and smaller independent groups.

La Fortaleza was a major professional wrestling produced and scripted held by the Mexican Lucha libre promotion International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG) on March 4, 2015. La Fortaleza refers to the main event ten-man steel cage match where the last man remaining in the cage would be forced to remove their wrestling mask or have their hair shaved off per Lucha de Apuestas, or "bet match", rules. La Fortaleza featured a team representing IWRG and a team representing the rival AAA promotion, furthering a scripted rivalry between the two companies.

The 2017 Rey de Reyes was a professional wrestling event produced by the Lucha Libre AAA World Wide, or simply AAA, promotion. The 2017 version was the 21st year in a row that AAA has held a Rey de Reyes show and tournament. Previous Rey de Reyes tournaments consisted of several rounds, but for 2017 AAA held a nine-man Royal Rumble-style elimination match, which was won by Argenis.

Ignacio Patiño, better known under the ring names Soul Rocker and Tito Santana is a Mexican luchador, or professional wrestler, currently working for Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA). He is the son of retired luchador Kendor and actually worked as Kendor II early in his career. From 2005 through 2012, he used the name Tito Santana, although he is not related to the better-known Tito Santana. He began using the name again in 2017 after losing his mask. As Soul Rocker he wore wrestling gear reminiscent of the elaborate stage costumes of the rock group Kiss.

Alexandra Bazadoni, best known by the ring name La Hiedra, is a Mexican luchadora enmascarada, or masked professional wrestler. She is currently signed to Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA), where she was formerly one third of the AAA World Trios Champions with Rey Escorpion and Texano Jr. La Hiedra is a second-generation wrestler, the daughter of Sangre Chicana.

Miguel Urive was a Mexican luchador enmascarado, or masked professional wrestler best known under the ring name Dr. Karonte. He was not the original "Dr. Karonte", originally working under the name "Gorhk" and in the 1980s began working as "Dr. Karonte III", teaming with the original Dr. Karonte and Dr. Karonte II. He later changed his name to just "Dr. Karonte".

Broderick Shepherd is an Australian professional wrestler, best known by the ring name Australian Suicide who is famous for have been working for Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA), where he is the former AAA World Cruiserweight Champion. Before arriving in Mexico, Shepherd competed in other independent companies in both Australia and the United States under the name Ryan Rollins.
