Aror is a small rural town in Kenya.

The town has suffered from famine, Aror is twinned with Westport in the Republic of Ireland, the people of Westport often donate money to the people of Aror to help with infrastructure.

The Aral Sea is an endorheic lake lying between Kazakhstan to its north and Uzbekistan to its south which began shrinking in the 1960s and largely dried up by the 2010s.
