Arthur Kenney (born March 5, 1946) is a retired American professional basketball player. He played at the power forward and center positions, and was nicknamed "The Great Red". [1]
Kenney played high school basketball at Power Memorial Academy (PMA), in Manhattan, New York City. At Power Memorial, he was a teammate of Lew Alcindor (later known as Kareem Abdul-Jabbar). The team's head coach was Jack Donohue, and its assistant coach was Dick Percudani.
In May 2000, Kenney's high school senior season team of 1963–64, was named "The Best High School Team in American History", by the National Sportswriters Association, [2] and it was inducted into the Catholic High School Athletic Association's Hall of Fame as, "The Team of the Century".
Kenney played college basketball at Fairfield University, with the Fairfield Stags, from 1964 to 1968. He was inducted into the Fairfield University Hall of Fame in 1996. [1]
For his pro career, Kenney moved to France, where he played with the LNB Pro A club Le Mans, from 1968 to 1970. He then moved to Italy, where he played with the Italian League club Olimpia Milano, from 1970 to 1973. With Milano, he won the FIBA Saporta Cup title in the 1970–71 and 1971–72 seasons. He also won the Italian Cup and the Italian League championship with Milano, during the 1971–72 season.
He then returned to Le Mans, where he played from 1973 to 1975. He played with the Italian Second Division club Partenope Napoli, during the 1975–76 season. In 2013, Olimpia Milano retired his number 18 jersey.
After he ended his basketball playing career, Kenney went into coaching, and then eventually began a career working on Wall Street.

A 2.06 m tall center, Meneghin was born in Alano di Piave, Veneto. On 20 November 1966, when he was 16 years old, he played in his first game in the Italian League, with Ignis Varese. He played the last game of his career at the age of 45.

Robert Allen McAdoo Jr. is an American former professional basketball player and coach. He played 14 seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA), where he was a five-time NBA All-Star and named the NBA Most Valuable Player (MVP) in 1975. He won two NBA championships with the Los Angeles Lakers during their Showtime era in the 1980s. In 2000, McAdoo was inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame. He was named to the NBA 75th Anniversary Team in 2021.
Andrew Michael "Handy Andy" Phillip was an American professional basketball player. Born in Granite City, Illinois, Phillip had an 11-year career and played for the Chicago Stags of the Basketball Association of America and the Philadelphia Warriors, Fort Wayne Pistons and Boston Celtics, of the National Basketball Association (NBA).
Cesare Rubini was an Italian professional basketball player and coach, and a water polo player. He was considered to be one of the greatest European basketball coaches of all time, Rubini was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 1994, making him the first, and to this day, just one of three Italian basketball figures to receive such an honour, alongside Dino Meneghin and Sandro Gamba. He was also inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame in 2000.

Power Memorial Academy (PMA) was an all-boys Catholic high school in New York City that operated from 1931 through 1984. It was a basketball powerhouse, producing several NBA players including Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Len Elmore, Mario Elie, Chris Mullin, as well as NBA referee Dick Bavetta and a record 71-game winning streak. Its 1964 basketball team was named "The #1 High School Team of The Century".
