Arts Council Napa Valley (ACNV) is the officially designated local arts agency (LAA) for Napa County, California. Established in 1963, it became a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization in 1981. ACNV advances the arts in Napa County through diverse cultural programs and community services responding to its three core initiatives: Cultural Marketing, Art in Public Spaces, and Arts in Education.
Napa County is a county north of San Pablo Bay in the northern portion of the U.S. state of California. As of the 2010 census, the population was 136,484. The county seat is the City of Napa. Napa County was one of the original counties of California, created in 1850 at the time of statehood. Parts of the county's territory were given to Lake County in 1861.

Arts Council Napa Valley is in part funded by the California state arts council, the California Arts Council (CAC), the Hewlett Foundation, Napa Valley Community Foundation, and James Irvine Foundation, in addition to private donors.

Pacific Union College (PUC) is a private liberal arts college located in Napa Valley, California. The campus is located in the upper valley town of Angwin, eight miles north of St. Helena, California and within the Howell Mountain wine appellation. It is the only four-year college in Napa County. It is among the top ten employers in the county. A coeducational residential college, it serves an almost exclusively undergraduate student body, the overwhelming majority of which live on campus.

Lincoln Theater Napa Valley in Yountville, California, on the grounds of the California Veterans Home in Napa County, California. The 1214 seat theater is the performance venue of the Napa Regional Dance Company and home of Symphony Napa Valley. Originally opened in 1957, it underwent a $20 million restoration which was completed in 2005. Robert Mondavi, his wife Margrit, Ron W. Miller and his wife Diane were among the primary benefactors of the restoration project. The State of California also provided $1.5 million in funding. Singer Dianne Reeves headlined the opening performance following the restoration on January 8, 2005. Centrally located on the 900-acre site of the nation’s oldest Veteran’s Home, the Napa Valley Performing Arts Center has a unique role to play in the artistic and cultural life of the Napa Valley. In 2005 the community came together to upgrade and renovate this very special space, creating what is now the largest venue in the Napa Valley with state of the art technical and performance capabilities. As exciting as this transformation has been, there have been challenges as well.
The Los Angeles County Arts Commission provides leadership in cultural services of all disciplines for the largest county in the United States, encompassing 88 municipalities. The Arts Commission provides leadership and staffing to support the County-wide collaboration for arts education called the Arts Ed Collective, administers a grants program that funds more than 400 nonprofit arts organizations annually, oversees the County's Civic Art Program for capital projects, funds the largest arts internship program in the country in conjunction with the Getty Foundation and supports the Los Angeles County Cultural Calendar on Discover LA and Spacefinder LA, a site connecting artists and arts organizations. The Commission also produces free community programs, including a year-round music program that funds free concerts in public sites.

The Palo Alto Art Center is a multi-purpose center open to the public for art activities for all ages. It is managed by the City of Palo Alto, California and supported by the non-profit Palo Alto Art Center Foundation (PAACF). The Center is located adjacent to Rinconada Park and the Rinconada Public Library. The Palo Alto Art Center was originally named the Palo Alto Community Cultural Center when it was founded in 1971.
Vintage High School is a public, comprehensive high school with a student body count of just over 1700. It is one of three comprehensive high schools in the Napa Valley Unified School District. The other comprehensive high schools are Napa High School and American Canyon High School. In addition, the district has a small technology high school New Technology High School, an Independent Studies school, an alternative high school, and four comprehensive middle schools fed by 21 elementary schools. Assignment of students to the high schools is determined by the elementary area in which the student resides.
The Napa Sonoma Marsh is a wetland at the northern edge of San Pablo Bay, which is a northern arm of the San Francisco Bay in California, United States. This marsh has an area of 48,000 acres (194 km2), of which 13,000 acres (53 km2) are abandoned salt evaporation ponds. The United States Government has designated 13,000 acres (53 km2) in the Napa Sonoma Marsh as the San Pablo Bay National Wildlife Refuge.
New Technology High School is a secondary school located in Napa, California. It is a public school of choice focusing on wall-to-wall project-based learning, student-centered culture, and 1:1 technology integration. It is the flagship school of the New Tech Network, a school design organization with nearly 200 schools in the United States and Australia.

Napa Valley College, formerly known as Napa Junior College and Napa Community College, is a public community college in Napa Valley, California. It is one of California's 113 community colleges. The tree-lined main campus in Napa, California sits on 160 acres overlooking the Napa River and includes a Performing Arts Center, a Child Development Center, a Business Development Center and the Napa Valley Vintners Teaching Winery. An Upper Valley Campus in St. Helena includes the Napa Valley Cooking School, training aspiring chefs. In 2014-2015, the total enrollment was about 8,559.

Rancho Carne Humana was a 17,962-acre (72.69 km2) Mexican land grant in present-day Napa County, California, given in 1841 by Governor Juan Alvarado to Edward Turner Bale. The name means "human flesh" in Spanish. There is speculation as to why the name was chosen. The grant was originally known to the native residents as "Huilic Noma" and also "Colijolmanoc". One naming theory speculates that Bale, in a bit of black humor, twisted "Colijolmanoc" into the similar-sounding Spanish "Carne Humana". Rancho Carne Humana was at the northern end of the Napa Valley, stretching from present-day Rutherford northward to Calistoga, ending at Tubbs Lane and including present-day St. Helena.
Rancho Tulucay was a 8,866-acre (35.88 km2) Mexican land grant in present day Napa County, California given in 1841 by Governor pro tem Manuel Jimeno to Cayetano Juarez. The Tulucay name originates with the names Tulkays and Ulucas that were applied to the inhabitants of a Patwin village in the area. The grant was on the east side of the Napa River, between Soscol Creek on the south, and Clarks Creek on the north.
Queen of the Valley Medical Center is a medical center located in Napa, California operated by St. Joseph Health System. The hospital first opened its doors in 1958 when it replaced Parks Victory Memorial Hospital. It is a Level III adult trauma center. The medical center is the largest employer in Napa County.
The Veterans Home of California is located in Yountville, California, and was founded in 1884. The facility is the largest of its kind in the United States and has a population of 1,200 aged and disabled veterans of World War II, Korean War, Vietnam War, Gulf War, War in Afghanistan, and Operation Enduring Freedom/Operation Iraqi Freedom. Several levels of care are offered to residents, including domicillary services, residential care for the elderly, intermediate nursing care, skilled nursing care, adult day health care, and outpatient clinic.
