Asif Iqbal (born 12 January 1984) is a Pakistani-born cricketer who played for the United Arab Emirates national cricket team in 2015. [1] He played first-class cricket for Bahawalpur in Pakistan, before moving to the UAE around 2007. [2] After impressing for Danube Lions in UAE domestic cricket, he was named in the UAE national squad in May 2015. [3] He made his One Day International debut against Hong Kong in the 2015–17 ICC World Cricket League Championship on 16 November 2015. [4]

The 2018 Asia Cup was a One-Day International (ODI) cricket tournament that was held in the United Arab Emirates in September 2018. It was the 14th edition of the Asia Cup and the third time the tournament was played in the United Arab Emirates, after the 1984 and 1995 tournaments. India were the defending champions, and retained their title, after beating Bangladesh by three wickets in the final.
