Spydeberg was a municipality in former Østfold county, Norway, until December 31. 2019. At January 1. 2020 it became a part of the new and greater municipality named "Indre Østfold Kommune" after the region, together with Askim and Trøgstad and Eidsberg and Hobøl kommuner (Municipalities).

The Eastern Østfold Line is a 79-kilometer (49 mi) railway line which runs between Ski and Sarpsborg. It follows a more eastern route than the Østfold Line, with which it adjoins at both Ski Station and Sarpsborg Station, serving the Indre Østfold district. The line is single track and electrified. The Eastern Line serves the hourly L22 lines of the Oslo Commuter Rail, operated by the Norwegian State Railways. There is no regular traffic south of Rakkestad Station, although the line can be used for freight trains when the Western Line is closed.

Gerd Inger De Groot-Ericson is a Norwegian former long track speed skater, who was active between 1960 and 1968. She was a member of the speed skating club Aktiv SK in Oslo and part of the Norwegian national team. De Groot was specialized in the short distances and set several club records and Norwegian records in the 500 metres and 1000 metres.
