The Asociación de Muchachas Guías de El Salvador (Girl Guide Association of El Salvador) is the national Guiding organization of El Salvador. It serves 499 members (as of 2012). Founded in 1944, the girls-only organization became an associate member of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts in 1949 and a full member in 1960. [1]
Girl Guides or Girl Scouts is a movement found worldwide, which was originally and still largely designed for girls and women only. This organisation was introduced in 1909, because girls demanded to take part in the then grassroots Boy Scout Movement.
El Salvador, officially the Republic of El Salvador, is the smallest and the most densely populated country in Central America. It is bordered on the northeast by Honduras, on the northwest by Guatemala, and on the south by the Pacific Ocean. El Salvador's capital and largest city is San Salvador. As of 2016, the country had a population of approximately 6.34 million.
The World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts is a global association supporting the female-oriented and female-only Guiding and Scouting organizations in 150 countries. It was established in 1928 in Parád, Hungary, and has its headquarters in London, England. It is the counterpart of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM). WAGGGS is organized into five regions and operates five international Guiding centers. It holds full member status in the European Youth Forum (YFJ), which operates within the Council of Europe and European Union areas and works closely with these bodies.

The Association of Guides and Scouts of Chile (AGSCH) began in 1978 when the Scout Association of Chile (ASCH) and the Girl Guides Association of Chile (AGCH) combined. It is affiliated with the World Association of Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) and the World Scout Movement (WOSM). This connection allows the Association to participate in major global programs related to health, nutrition, world peace, environmental protection and integration of disabled into society, among other social issues of concern to the Association. Additionally, the affiliation grants the Association consultative status with the United Nations on matters concerning childhood and youth, and also membership in the Scout Parliamentary Union, consisting in Chile of more than thirty members.
The Movimiento Scout del Uruguay (MSU) is the national Scouting organization of Uruguay, and a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement. Scouting was founded in Uruguay in 1947 and became a member of WOSM in 1950. MSU has 1,549 members.
The Asociación de Scouts de El Salvador is the national Scouting organization of El Salvador. Scouting in El Salvador was founded in 1938 and became a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in 1940. The association has 2,820 members as of 2011.
The Asociación de Guías y Scouts de Costa Rica is the national Scouting and Guiding association of Costa Rica. Scouting was founded in Costa Rica in 1915 and became a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in 1935. Guiding started in 1922 and became a member of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts in 1946. The association has more than 14,500 members of both genders.
The Asociación de Scouts del Perú is the national Scouting organization of Peru. Peruvian Scouting was founded in 1911 and was among the charter members of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in 1922. It has 4,852 members.

The coeducational organization founded in 1953 became an associate member of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts in 1957 and a full member in 1963.

Founded in 1958, the girls-only organization became an associate member of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts in 1966 and a full member in 1978.
The Asociación de Guías Scouts de Colombia is the national Guiding organization of Colombia. It serves 627 members. Founded in 1936, the girls-only organization became a full member of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts in 1954.
The Asociación de Guías Scouts Dominicanas is the national Guiding organization of the Dominican Republic. It serves 588 members. Founded in 1961, the girls-only organization became a full member of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts in 1969. The Dominican Republic Girl scout uniforms are the same as the United States uniforms.

Founded in 1930, the girls-only organization became an associate member of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts in 1948 and a full member in 1957. WAGGGS' world centre Our Cabaña, in Cuernavaca, Mexico, opened in 1957.

The Asociación Guías Scout del Uruguay is the national Guiding organization of Uruguay. It serves 71 members. Founded in 1955, the coeducational organization became an associate member of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) in 1966; the membership was revoked in 2014.

The Federación Española de Guidismo is a federation of several Spanish Guiding organizations, serving about 1,500 members. It is a member of the Comité de Enlace del Guidismo en España and thus affiliated to the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts.
