Australia's Got Talent is an Australian reality television show, based on the original UK series, to find new talent. Seven Network announced that the show would be returning to their network in 2019 for its ninth season. It had previously aired on Seven for six seasons from 2007 to 2012, and on the Nine Network for two seasons in 2013 and 2016. [1] [2] It had an all new judging panel of Nicole Scherzinger, Shane Jacobson, Manu Feildel & Lucy Durack, [3] and Ricki-Lee Coulter as series host. [4] The season premiered on 28 July 2019. [5]

The semi-final format changed from previous seasons: finalists were decided by a golden buzzer and judges' vote, with no public vote until the final.

The final was on September 22, and the winner was pole dancer Kristy Sellars.

Finals summary

In the final, the judges chose a top four, which was then chosen by SMS votes from viewers in the eastern states. The final was pre-recorded, with four different endings filmed, one for each of the four possible winners. The winner of the season was pole dancer Kristy Sellars. [6] [7]

The Grand Finale had nine acts because one semi-final golden buzzer act (Captain Ruin) was unavailable. [8]

Kyle Sandilands returned as a judge for his fourth season, and was joined by Dawn French, Timomatic and Geri Halliwell, as well as Julia Morris as the new host. Halliwell, French and Timomatic who is the additional fourth judge replaced original judge Dannii Minogue and Brian McFadden, while Morris replaced Grant Denyer. It was the first time that the show aired on another network, following its axing from the Seven Network in October 2012. The auditions took place from March–April 2013.

The second season of The Voice, the Australian reality talent show, premiered on 7 April 2013. All coaches and hosts from the previous season returned for their second season, except Keith Urban, who left the panel and was replaced by Ricky Martin.

Australia's Got Talent is an Australian reality television show, based on the original UK series, to find new talent. Nine announced that the show would be returning in 2016 for an eighth season. It is the second season to air on Nine after it was axed in 2013. Auditions are open for September and October 2015. On 28 October 2015, it was announced that Kyle Sandilands, Geri Halliwell, Dawn French and Timomatic have been replaced with a new panel of judges, they are Ian "Dicko" Dickson, Sophie Monk, Kelly Osbourne and Eddie Perfect. Julia Morris did not return as host as she is committed to another show and was replaced by Dave Hughes as the host. For the first time, this season introduced the Golden Buzzer. The season premiered on 1 February 2016.

This season, announced by Ten in November 2015, is the third Australian edition of the program, the second to feature non-celebrity contestants and the first to air on Network Ten. The X Factor was an Australian television reality music competition, based on the original British version, to find new singing talent; the winner of which received a Sony Music Australia recording contract. The eighth season, branded as X Factor: Next Generation, premiered on Seven Network on 3 October 2016. Jason Dundas replaced Luke Jacobz as host; with the judging panel consisting of Mel B, Guy Sebastian, Iggy Azalea and Adam Lambert. The winner was Isaiah Firebrace and his winner's single "It's Gotta Be You" was released after the final. He was mentored by Lambert, who won as mentor for the first and only time.

The judging panel consists of Shane Jacobson, Kate Ritchie, and Britain’s Got Talent judges David Walliams and Alesha Dixon. Ricki-Lee Coulter returned as host.
