B'TWIN was a trademarked brand of bicycles as well as bicycle parts and accessories marketed by Decathlon. [1] It has now been replaced by the Van Rysel brand.
The bicycles are produced by several manufacturers in Asia and Europe. In 2010, a small part of the assembly process was relocated to France. From 2008–18, more than 1 million bicycles were produced in Portugal. They also sold bike accessories and parts for budget prices.
In March 2018, Decathlon said it planned to drop the B'Twin name completely. [2] Over approximately the following year, the company migrated the B'Twin brand to children's bikes, as part of a branding arrangement that will see new ranges of bicycles, including both road and mountain bikes.
At present, the B'Twin brand is used for children's bikes, folding bikes and some bicycle accessories. [3]

A pedal usually consists of a spindle that threads into the end of the crank, and a body on which the foot rest is attached, that is free to rotate on bearings with respect to the spindle.
Bicycle messengers are people who work for courier companies carrying and delivering items by bicycle. Bicycle messengers are most often found in the central business districts of metropolitan areas. Courier companies use bike messengers because bicycle travel is less subject to unexpected holdups in city traffic jams, and is not deterred by parking limitations, fees or fines in high-density development that can hinder or prevent delivery by motor vehicle, thereby offering a predictable delivery time.

An electric bicycle, e-bike, electrically assisted pedal cycles, or electrically power assisted cycles is a motorized bicycle with an integrated electric motor used to assist propulsion. Many kinds of e-bikes are available worldwide, but they generally fall into two broad categories: bikes that assist the rider's pedal-power and bikes that add a throttle, integrating moped-style functionality. Both retain the ability to be pedaled by the rider and are therefore not electric motorcycles. E-bikes use rechargeable batteries and typically are motor-powered up to 25 to 32 km/h. High-powered varieties can often travel more than 45 km/h (28 mph).
Many countries have enacted electric vehicle laws to regulate the use of electric bicycles, also termed e-bikes. Some jurisdictions have regulations governing safety requirements and standards of manufacture. The members of the European Union and other regions have wider-ranging legislation covering use and safety.
