Baegu/Asifola is a single-member constituency of the National Parliament of Solomon Islands. Created in 1993 when Parliament was expanded from 38 to 47 seats, it is located on the island of Malaita. [1]

The Baeggu language is spoken by the indigenous people of the North Malaita Island in the Solomon Islands. In 1999 there were 5,900 people known to speak the language. The language is largely intelligible with Baelelea, To'aba'ita, and Lau.

Harold M. Ross is a cultural anthropologist who studied the Baegu community and culture on the island of Malaita in the Solomon Islands. He conducted his field research in the mid-1960s and summarized his research for his doctoral thesis, publishing his work and receiving a PhD in Anthropology from Harvard University in 1970. Following his research Dr. Ross taught Anthropology at the University of Illinois in Champaign Urbana before moving onto positions in academic administration at multiple institutions.

East Honiara is a parliamentary constituency electing one representative to the National Parliament of Solomon Islands. With an electorate of 30,049 in 2006, it is by far the most heavily populated constituency in the country, being the only one to consist in more than 20,000 voters. It is one of three parliamentary constituencies in the country's capital city, Honiara - the other two being Central Honiara and West Honiara.

Aoke/Langalanga, also known as Auki/Langalanga, is a parliamentary constituency electing one representative to the National Parliament of Solomon Islands. A by-election was held in the Baegu/Asifola constituency in the Solomon Islands on 30 March 2011. The election followed the death of MP Toswel Kaua, an Independent, who had first won the seat in April 2006, and held it in the August 2010 general election.

General elections were held in the Solomon Islands on 19 November 2014. Independent candidates won 32 of the 50 seats in the National Parliament, with the Democratic Alliance Party emerging as the largest party with seven seats.

Central Guadalcanal is a single-member constituency of the National Parliament of Solomon Islands. Established in 1973 when the Governing Council was expanded from 17 to 24 seats, it is located on the island of Guadalcanal.

East Choiseul is a single-member constituency of the National Parliament of Solomon Islands.
