The women's basketball tournament at the 2015 SEA Games was held in Kallang, Singapore at the OCBC Arena Hall 1 from 9 to 15 June. [1]
The official detailed schedule for the tournament was announced on 30 April 2015.
The draw was held on 30 April 2015 at the OCBC Arena Hall 1 during the 2015 SEABA Championship for men's team. All participating teams were drawn into one group. [2]
At the start of tournament, all six participating countries had up to 12 players on their rosters.

The 2007 SEA Games basketball tournaments was held at Keelapirom Stadium, Suranaree University of Technology at Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand.
The women's basketball tournament at the 2012 Olympic Games in London began on 28 July and ended on 11 August. All preliminary and quarterfinal games were held at the Basketball Arena within the Olympic Park, and the semifinal and the medal games were held at the North Greenwich Arena.
The men's tournament in Basketball at the 2013 SEA Games in Naypyidaw began on 8 December and ended on 16 December. All games were held in the Zayar Thiri Indoor Stadium which hosted both men's and women's tournaments. The Philippines successfully defended the title for the sixteenth time as they went undefeated in the competition.

The 11th Southeast Asia Basketball Association Championship was the qualifying tournament for the 2015 FIBA Asia Championship. Ten competitions was held in men's snooker singles, snooker doubles, English billiards singles, English billiards singles, English billiards doubles, English billiards team, 9-ball pool doubles and in men's 1 cushion carom and in men, women's 9-ball pool singles.
Netball at the 2015 Southeast Asian Games is being held in OCBC Arena Hall 1, in Kallang, Singapore from 31 May to 7 June 2015.

Water polo at the 2015 SEA Games was held from 10 to 16 June 2015 at the OCBC Aquatic Centre in Kallang, Singapore. The competition was held in a round-robin format, where the top 3 teams at the end of the competition will win the gold, silver, and bronze medal respectively.

The men's basketball tournament at the 2017 SEA Games was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia at the MABA Stadium from 20 to 26 August. The Philippines successfully defended its championship for the record twelfth consecutive time. Indonesia settled for the silver medal for the second consecutive time, while Thailand again placed in the podium after winning the bronze medal.
