Bayaan (Urdu : بیانtransl.Expression) is an alternative rock band from Lahore, Pakistan. It is the winning band of Pepsi Battle of the Bands Season 3 [1] [2] [3] [4] in 2018. Appeared in Nescafe Basement, the band had performed throughout Pakistan before appearing in Pepsi Battle of the Bands. The 5-member band consists of Asfar Hussain [5] (vocalist), Haider Abbas (bassist), Shahrukh Aslam (guitarist), Muqeet Shahzad (guitarist), and Mansoor Lashari (drummer). [6] The band members Shahzad and Abbas knew each other for more than a decade and played together in the school band. [7] They moved to the underground music circuit and met Mansoor Lashari. In between, Lashari and Abbas became a part of Nescafe Basement where they performed with Hussain and Aslam. Thus, Bayaan [8] [9] came into existence. [10] Bayaan is managed by their bassist, Haider Abbas.

Nescafe Basement

Bayaan [11] started its musical journey through a popular music show in Pakistan, Nescafe Basement. [12] With Nescafe Basement, Bayaan released a few singles [13] in Pakistan. Post Nescafe Basement, they came together to produce their own music.

Pepsi Battle of the Bands

Following the appearance in Nescafe Basement, Bayaan [14] came to Pepsi Battle of the Bands Season 3 and become the winners [15] with Xarb being the runners up. [16] [17] Their album and music videos will be released soon as a part of the contract they won with the title. Bayaan [18] returned to season 4 to perform with Season 2 winners Kashmir. [19]

Debut Music Album 'Suno'

Bayaan has announced the release of their debut album ‘Suno’ on the 2nd of Feb at the illustrious Lahore Music Meet festival. The album comprises 9 songs.Through this album they pay homage to the band's collective inspirations and influences while staying distinctly Bayaan. [24] [25] [26] [27] [28] The album has been released and distributed by rearts. The music video for the song Bekhabar [29] was released earlier [30] but later the song was made a part of the album.

Coke Studio Season 14

The lead vocalist for Bayaan, Asfar Hussain featured in Coke Studio (Pakistani season 14) with Arooj Aftab for a song "Mehram", [31] written and composed by him. [32]

Zebunisa Bangash, better known as Zeb Bangash, is a Pakistani singer-songwriter from Lahore, Punjab. Her family originally comes from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Apart from her solo career, she was a member of the music group Zeb and Haniya along with Haniya Aslam who is her first cousin.

Zulfiqar "Xulfi" Jabbar Khan is a Pakistani composer, singer-songwriter, music producer and a guitarist. Starting his career in 1994, Khan is the recipient of multiple awards in Pakistan. He is currently working on the television series Coke Studio, for which he is the producer and mentor.

<i>Nescafé Basement</i> Pakistani television music show

Nescafé Basement is a Pakistani music television series which features studio-recorded performances by underground and emerging artists. The show is produced by Nescafé. The artists are recruited and mentored by Xulfi, who is also the music producer of the show. The first song released from Nescafé Basement was a cover of Sajjad Ali's "Larri Adda".

E Sharp is a rock band from Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan, that initially started as a cover band active in Karachi's underground music scene but later on started creating their own original work. The band's first two albums; Bahadur Yaar Jung (2015) and 600 Saal (2017)were nominated at the Lux Style Awards respectively. A bunch of their singles and music videos has mostly received positive reviews. Their third album Choti Khushiyan was released in 2020 and received positive reviews as well.

The series celebrates Pakistani wedding traditions and narrates the story of a couple who are cousins in Nikaah, living separately as the Rukhsati is yet to happen, and the relationship between their families. It was aired every day on Hum TV.

Abdullah Qureshi is a Pakistani singer, songwriter, and music composer. Born in Islamabad, Abdullah gained recognition from his covers on YouTube. Qureshi also featured in popular music TV program Nescafé Basement Season 4 and performed an original song "Awaz Do".

Xarb is a five-member band from Lahore, Pakistan. The band was formed in 2008 and achieved its current membership in 2011. The band received increased public attention in 2018, when they performed on the third and fourth seasons of the show "Pepsi Battle of the Bands", eventually finishing second in the competition. The band's style has been described by both its members and local music critics as a fusion of Western rock genres and local musical influences. They continue to play live at venues within Pakistan.

Woh Jahan is the third studio album by Pakistani progressive rock band Black Hour, released on 19 February 2021 by Rearts Records globally. The recording sessions occurred at the SnakeHook Studios in Islamabad, Pakistan with production by Black Hour alongside Fahad Humayun Chohan. The album is the first Urdu language album by the band.

Soch is a pop and sufi rock band from Lahore, Pakistan. It consists of two members – Adnan Dhool (vocals) and Rabi Ahmad (guitars). The band was formed by the lead vocalist Adnan Dhool in 2010. In 2011, the band released their first single "Bandeya".

Aag is a rock band from Pakistan. Consisting of brothers Haroon Sheikh and Usman Sheikh, Aag has featured in musical shows in Pakistan including Velo Sound Station, Levi's Live, and Pepsi Battle of the Bands. Formed in 2005, Aag has released several original songs including “Aag”, “Kafla”, “Phir Se” and the melancholic “Veeraan”.
