Bedrooms is about the exploration of relationships between humans, the tough choices we have to face to see them work or need to move on and the complications. Julian and Beth are a married couple at the vital turning point of their young relationship. In another, Anna and Harry are a married couple who are suffering from infidelity, while Sal [a pizza delivery boy] unwittingly becomes the ultimate reason of their conflict. Marnie and Roger are a retired couple who have had a long but unusual relationship together. Janet is a divorced mother of ten-year-old twins who decide to create their own separate spaces in the room they share by building a wall out of all their toys.
Rock Follies was a musical drama shown on British television in the 1970s. The storyline followed the ups and downs of a fictional female rock band called the Little Ladies, as they struggled for recognition and success. The series starred Rula Lenska, Charlotte Cornwell and Julie Covington as the Little Ladies, with support from Emlyn Price, Beth Porter, Sue Jones-Davies, Bob Hoskins, Stephen Moore, Derek Thompson, Denis Lawson and Little Nell among others. The series was made on a small low budget for Thames Television, with a style inspired by fringe theatre. It was based on an original idea by Annabel Leventon, Diane Langton and Gaye Brown. The series was a success and won three BAFTA Awards, and the soundtrack album reached No. 1 in the UK chart. A second series with its own soundtrack album followed.

Diane Hutchinson is a fictional character from the British Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks, played by Alex Fletcher. In 2010, Hollyoaks series producer, Paul Marquess, embarked on the show's rejuvenation and axed a number of cast members. To compensate for the departures, the character of Diane and her family were created and introduced. Fletcher's casting was announced in June 2010 and she began filming her scenes in the same month. The actress said working on the show is practical as she does not have to relocate. She made her first on-screen appearance on 1 September 2010. Diane was introduced with her husband, Rob and stepchildren, Sinead and Finn. The O'Connors were one of three families introduced throughout the year.
