The Districts of Ghana are second-level administrative subdivisions of Ghana, below the level of region. There are 216 districts.
Bibiani is a town and capital of the Bibiani/Anhwiaso/Bekwai Municipal Assembly, a Municipality within the Western Region of Ghana.
The Bekwai Municipal Assembly, formerly the Amansie East District is one of the twenty-seven (27) districts in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. Its capital is Bekwai. In 2003, part of the district was split off to form the new Amansie Central District.
The Bibiani/Anhwiaso/Bekwai District is one of the eighteen (18) districts in the Western Region of Ghana. Its capital is Bibiani.
Justice George Kingsley Acquah was the twenty-third Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Ghana(the eleventh since independence). He was appointed as Chief Justice on 4 July 2003 and was the incumbent until his death.

Jacobu is a town near Ashanti Bekwai and is the capital town of Amansie Central, a district in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. Jacobu and its neighbouring towns form the Odotobri paramountcy. The current chief of Jacobu is Nana Fosu Kwadjobri. Jacobu is rich in resources including gold and timber, and also exports most Ghanaian foodstuffs, as the people are farmers. The town is known for the Jacobu Secondary Technical School. The school is a second cycle institution.
Kokofu is a town in the Bekwai Municipal district, a district in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.
Ofoase-Kokoben is a small but beautiful town in the Bekwai Municipal District district in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. This small town emanated from two different towns: Ofoase which was in the North and Kokoben in the South. They were separate communities with their leaders, but had a very cordial relationship. They decided to settle close to the main road when the Kumasi to Bekwai route was redirected from Senfi via Dominasi to Anwiankwanta, which are also communities within the same District. These two communities decided to come together under one umbrella with the twin name OFOASE-KOKOBEN, nicknamed as O.K.

Odeneho Gyapong Ababio II was a traditional ruler in Ghana and Paramount Chief of Sefwi-Bekwai in the Brong Ahafo Region. His official title was Sefwi-Bekwaihene - King of Sefwi-Bekwai. He was the tenth president of the National House of Chiefs and served from 2001 to 2008.
