Belfort & Lupin is a French animated television series created by Teddy J. Stehly and directed by Philippe Vidal. The series follows the adventures of Belfort, a refined spaniel, and Lupin, an intrepid wolf, who form an unlikely duo in the Palace of Versailles during the reign of Louis XIV. The show premiered on February 7, 2025 on Okoo and February 10, 2025 on France 4. [1]
The series takes place in the 17th century in the Palace of Versailles. It focuses on Belfort, an intelligent and elegant spaniel who is favored by the Sun King (Louis XIV), and Lupin, a wild but generous wolf, living in the gardens of the castle. Together, they solve mysteries involving the other animals of the royal estate while navigating between court intrigue and humorous adventures.
Each episode offers an independent plot while also developing an overall narrative framework around the relationships between the characters and the secrets hidden in the gardens of Versailles.
The show is produced by Ellipse Animation and Belvision Studios in collaboration with France Télévisions. Development on the show began as early as 2019.[ citation needed ]

Belfory is a loyal dog who lives in a palace and enjoys life of luxury. During this time, he’s very close to his owner and guards the poor box, one that has farthings. One day while chasing a squirrel, he gets Free from his leash and encounters his Lupin, a brave gray wolf. Lupin Is brave and kind, but has some discrete towards humans. Belfort dismisses him at first, and during a dinner court meeting, he is forced to be stuck with a dog named Mitzi. Lupin sneaks into the palace disguise as a food dog and encourages Belfort to escape from Mitzi. During a chase with the palace, They steal wigs and bury them in the dirt, where the humans Discover them buried in the dirt. Belfort Begins his earlier duty of eating, guarding, then eating, and guarding again, only to be kicked out for the night after hearing of the wig incident. However, while walking through a river, Rex tricks Belfort into going into a bag and throw him into the river with the intention to drown him. Belfort struggles to escape the bag, only for the bag is snagged by a branch. Belfort Begins to drown, but is saved by Lupin, Who has seen the whole thing and Opens the bag before dragging him to the surface. After being given mouth-to-mouth, Belfort thanks Lupin and the two French shelter under the bridge for the night. Back at home during dinner, Belfory’s Owners go outside to let Belfort back in, only to be tricked by Rex, thinking that he had been killed by foxes. | ||||||
