Jannik Hansen is a Danish former professional ice hockey right winger. Hansen began playing professionally at the age of 16 with both the Rødovre Mighty Bulls of the Danish league and the Malmö Redhawks of the Swedish J20 SuperElit and HockeyAllsvenskan leagues. He played three seasons with Rødovre, during which time he was selected 287th overall by the Canucks in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. A year after his selection, he moved to North America to play major junior hockey with the Portland Winterhawks of the Western Hockey League (WHL) for one season. In 2006–07, Hansen began playing with the Canucks' minor league affiliate, the Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League (AHL). That season, he was called up by the Vancouver Canucks and became the first Danish citizen to play and register a point in an NHL playoff game. After another campaign spent primarily with Manitoba, Hansen earned a full-time roster spot with the Canucks.
SønderjyskE is a professional ice hockey team playing in the top Danish ice hockey league Metal Ligaen. The team is part of SønderjyskE which is a sports umbrella with football, handball and ice hockey teams. The team plays home games in Vojens, a small town in the southernmost part of Jutland. SønderjyskE is the only team in Denmark which home arena has a narrow sized rink, whereas all other rinks in the country are standard IIHF sized rinks. Most of the club's foreign players are also originating from North America. SønderjyskE Ishockey Support is the fan club and the biggest icehockey fan club in Denmark with more than 800 members.

Bent Hansen is a retired Danish ice hockey forward. He played for 18 years in Denmark for the Rødovre SIK and KSF. He also competed for the Danish national team. His son, Jannik Hansen, also played for the Rødovre team and currently plays for the San Jose Sharks of the NHL, and previously for the Vancouver Canucks in the same league. During his hockey career, Hansen also worked as a carpenter.
