RTÉ 2fm, or 2FM as it is more commonly referred to, is an Irish radio station operated by RTÉ. The station specialises in current popular music and chart hits and is the second national radio station in Ireland.

Nob Nation is the title of a series of topical comedy pieces broadcast since November 2006 on two national radio stations in Ireland, RTÉ 2fm and RTÉ Radio 1. The programmes are broadcast Monday through Saturday each week. Nob Nation is written and produced by Oliver Callan.
Jennifer Zamparelli is an Irish comedian and television presenter. She is known for her role on the TV show Republic of Telly, where she was a primary writer, and as co-host of the 2FM morning show Breakfast Republic with Bernard O'Shea and Keith Walsh. She also stars in the sitcom Bridget & Eamon.
The 2009 Meteor Music Awards ceremony took place on 17 March 2009 in the RDS Simmonscourt, Dublin. It was the ninth edition of Ireland's national music awards. The event was recorded and it aired on RTÉ Two on 18 March 2009. The awards show was hosted by television presenter Amanda Byram.
Gearoid Farrelly is an Irish comedian. He was a finalist in So You Think You're Funny and the winner of the Bulmers Nuthin' Butt Funny Comedy Award, which earned him supporting acts with Rich Hall and Michael Winslow as part of the Bulmer's Comedy festival. In October 2008 he performed at the Cologne Comedy Festival in Germany. He made his debut at the Carlsberg Comedy Festival in Iveagh Gardens in 2008 and at The Cat Laughs Festival, Kilkenny in 2010.

Dead Cat Bounce was an Irish comedy band made up of Demian Fox (drums), Shane O'Brien (bass) and James Walmsley. Based in Dublin, but touring all over the world, the group performed all-original comedy songs in variety of musical styles.
Republic of Telly is a TV review and magazine programme on Irish public broadcaster, RTÉ2. Presented by comedian Kevin McGahern, the programme is intended as a satirical examination of television, mocking various Irish and British TV channels, including sketches and special guests making an appearance from the shows. An added feature of the show is its correspondents Jennifer Maguire and Bernard O'Shea. Maguire conducts vox pops and celebrity interviews, whereas O'Shea conducts live 'on the spot' reports. Series two also introduced comedians The Rubberbandits as reporters, bizarre weathermen and agony aunts. The series has contributed to the chart success of The Rubberbandits single "Horse Outside", as well as "Everybody's Drinkin'" and "Big Box Little Box" by Damo and Ivor.
Breakfast Republic was the Irish national broadcaster RTÉ 2fm's breakfast radio show. It was presented by Keith Walsh and comedians Jennifer Zamparelli and Bernard O'Shea, from 6–10am weekdays. It first aired on 17 February 2014. Regular features include Jen's Bits, where Zamparelli offers dry or caustic views on members of the celebrity world, and Smarty Pants, where Bernard regularly pretends to be less intelligent than he actually is.
Keith Walsh is an Irish radio DJ. Previously the lead anchor for RTÉ 2fm's early morning programme Breakfast Republic with comedians Bernard O'Shea and Jennifer Maguire, Walsh now presents on 2fm on Saturdays and Sundays. His involvement with radio started with community radio station Phoenix Radio and then pirate Phantom 105.2. He partnered on these stations with Joe Donnelly. After their stint on pirate Phantom, Walsh and Donnelly worked at Dublin's SPIN 1038. Keith went on to be programme director for i105107 and then for fully licensed Phantom 105.2. He was eventually joined on the latter by his old radio friend Joe Donnelly to co-host its breakfast show. Keith then left for RTÉ 2fm. He is married and has two children.
Bridget & Eamon is an Irish sitcom that first aired on RTÉ Two on 1 February 2016, having previously aired as a RTÉ Player-exclusive series. It is based on the Bridget & Eamon sketches written by Shane Mulvey that featured on the Republic of Telly comedy review show. The show centres on 1980s husband and wife played by Bernard O'Shea and Jennifer Zamparelli.
Joanne McNally is an Irish stand-up comedian, writer and actress. McNally was the co-host of Republic of Telly for RTÉ and has also appeared on The Late Late Show, The Afternoon Show, Ireland AM, Two Tube and The Commute for RTÉ. As well as segments on RTÉ 2fm, McNally co-hosts a podcast called "My Therapist Ghosted Me" with Vogue Williams.
Alison Spittle is an Irish comedian, comedy writer, radio producer and actor. She has worked for iRadio, RTÉ Radio 1 and Newstalk and created sketches for Republic of Telly and has written and starred in her RTÉ Two sit-com Nowhere Fast in 2017. She is the host and creator of the Alison Spittle Show podcast hosted by HeadStuff Podcast Network.
Kevin McGahern is an Irish comedian, TV presenter, writer and actor. He is the former host of Republic of Telly between 2013 and 2017 and documentary series Kevin McGahern's America.
Sarah Keyworth is an English stand-up comedian. They began pursuing a career in comedy in 2012, eventually going full-time in 2018 after being nominated for Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards. They have appeared on television comedy shows such as Roast Battle, The Now Show, The Dog Ate My Homework, Mock the Week and 8 Out of 10 Cats.
