Bibiani/Anhwiaso/Bekwai Municipal District is one of the nine districts in Western North Region, Ghana. [1] Originally created as an ordinary district assembly in 1988 when it was known as Bibiani/Anhwiaso/Bekwai District , which it was later elevated to municipal district assembly status in March 2012 to become Bibiani/Anhwiaso/Bekwai Municipal District. The municipality is located in the northeast part of Western North Region and has Bibiani as its capital town. [2]

Originally created as an ordinary district assembly in 1988 when it was known as Amansie East District, which it was created from the former Amansie District Council. Later, the western part of the district was split off by a decree of president John Agyekum Kufuor on 12 November 2003 to create Amansie Central District; thus the remaining part has retained as Amansie East District. Then the eastern part of the district was later split off to create Bosome Freho District on 29 February 2008; while the remaining part was elevated to municipal district assembly status on the same year to become and has since been renamed as Bekwai Municipal District. The municipality is located in the southern part of Ashanti Region and has Bekwai as its capital town.
Amansie Central District is one of the forty-three districts in Ashanti Region, Ghana. Originally it was formerly part of the then-larger Amansie East District in 1988, until the western part of the district was split off by a decree of president John Agyekum Kufuor on 12 November 2003 to create Amansie Central District; thus the remaining part has been retained as Amansie East District. The district assembly is located in the southern part of Ashanti Region and has Jacobu as its capital town.
Bia District is a former district that was located in Western Region, Ghana. Originally it was formerly part of the then-larger Juaboso-Bia District in 1988, which was created from the former Sefwi-Bibiani District Council, until the northwest part of the district was split off to create Bia District; thus the remaining part has been renamed as Juaboso-Bodi District. However, on 28 June 2012, it was split off into two new districts: Bia West District and Bia East District. The district assembly was located in the northwest part of Western Region and had Sefwi Essam as its capital town.
Awaso is a village near the district capital Bibiani of Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Municipal district, a district in the Western North Region of Ghana. Awaso has a bauxite mine operated by the Ghana Bauxite Company. The mine is served by a rail branch line on the western Ghana rail system, however in 2007, much of the ore goes by road.

The district assembly is located in the northeast part of Western North Region and has Akontombra as its capital town.

Bia East District is one of the nine districts in Western North Region, Ghana. It was formerly part of the then-larger Bia District until the Eastern part was split off in 2012 to form the Bia East District while the Western part was renamed as Bia West District.The district assembly is located in the northwest part of Western North Region and has Sefwi Adabokrom as its capital town. The larger Bia District was created from the former Sefwi-Bibiani District in 2004.
Sefwi Bekwai is a small town in Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai District in the Western Region of Ghana.
Kwawkrom is a community in the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Western Region of Ghana. It is a rain forest reserve situated near the Boin Tano Nature Reserve. It is approximately 20 kilometers South West of Bibiani.

Originally it was formerly part of the then-larger Juaboso-Bodi District in August 2004, which was created from the former Sefwi-Bibiani District Council, until the southeast part of the district was split off to create Bodi District on 28 June 2012; thus the remaining part has been renamed as Juaboso District. The district assembly is located in the northwest part of Western North Region and has Juaboso as its capital town.
Christopher Addae is an administrator and Ghanaian Politician who served as the member of the Fifth parliament of the Fourth Republic representing the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Constituency of the Western Region of Ghana. After he emerged the winner of the poll in his constituency in the 2008 Ghanaian general elections.

Sefwi-Bibiani District is a former district council that was located in Western Region, Ghana. Originally created as an district council in 1975. However on 1988, it was split off into two new district assemblies: Sefwi-Wiawso District, Juaboso-Bia District and Bibiani/Anhwiaso/Bekwai District. The district council was located in the northern part of Western Region and had Wiawso as its capital town.
