The Big Sky Conference women's soccer tournament is the conference championship tournament in soccer for the Big Sky Conference. The tournament has been held every year since 1997. It is played under a single-elimination format and seeding is based on regular season records. The winner, declared conference champion, receives the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Division I women's soccer championship.

Format

The teams are seeded based on the order of finish in the conference's round robin regular season. The top six finishers qualify for the tournament. Tiebreakers begin with the result of the head-to-head matchup. The teams are then placed in a single-elimination bracket, with the top two seeds receiving a first round bye, until meeting in a final championship game. After two overtime period, ties are broken by shootout rounds, with the winner of the shootout advancing. [1]

The six-team single-elimination tournament consisted of three rounds based on seeding from regular season conference play. The Eastern Washington Eagles were the defending champions and did not successfully defend their title, losing to the Northern Colorado Bears in the quarterfinals. The fifth seeded Montana Grizzlies upset three teams along their way to a championship, beating Northern Colorado 1–0 in the final.

The 2019 Big Sky Conference women's soccer tournament was the postseason women's soccer tournament for the Big Sky Conference held from November 6 to November 10, 2019. The five-match tournament took place at Jackson Stadium, home of the regular-season champions Montana Grizzlies. The six-team single-elimination tournament consisted of three rounds based on seeding from regular season conference play. The Montana Grizzlies were the defending champions and did not successfully defend their title, losing to the Northern Colorado Bears in the semifinals. Northern Colorado would go on to win the tournament, with a 1–0 win over Eastern Washington in the final. This was the second overall title for Northern Colorado, and the second title for coach Tim Barrera.

The 2021 Big Sky Conference women's soccer tournament was the postseason women's soccer tournament for the Big Sky Conference held from November 3 to November 7, 2021. The five-match tournament took place at Jackson Stadium, home of the regular-season champions Northern Colorado. The six-team single-elimination tournament consisted of three rounds based on seeding from regular season conference play. The Montana Grizzlies were the defending champions and successfully defended their title by defeating Weber State in the Finals. This was the sixth overall title for Montana, and the third title for coach Chris Citowicki. Montana and coach Citowicki have won three of the last four Big Sky Conference Tournaments. As tournament champions, Montana earned the Big Sky's automatic berth into the 2021 NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Tournament.

The 2021 Big South Conference women's soccer tournament was the postseason women's soccer tournament for the Big South Conference held from October 31 through November 7, 2021. The tournament was hosted by the higher seed in the Quarterfinals and the higher remaining seed in the Semifinals and Finals. The eight-team single-elimination tournament consisted of three rounds based on seeding from regular season conference play. Campbell were the defending champions, and the first overall seed in the tournament. However, they were unable to defend their crown, falling in extra time to High Point in the final. The conference tournament title was the seventh for the High Point women's soccer program and the first for head coach Brandi Fontaine. As tournament champions, High Point earned the Big South's automatic berth into the 2021 NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Tournament.

The 2022 Big Sky Conference women's soccer tournament was the postseason women's soccer tournament for the Big Sky Conference held from November 2 to November 6, 2022. The five-match tournament took place at Jackson Stadium, home of the Northern Colorado Bears. The six-team single-elimination tournament consisted of three rounds based on seeding from regular season conference play. The Montana Grizzlies were the defending champions. Montana was unable to defend their title as they lost to Idaho in the Semifinals. Northern Arizona won their first title since 2014 by defeating Idaho in the final on penalties 4–3 after the game finished tied 0–0. This was the fourth overall title for Montana, and the first title for head coach Alan Berrios. As tournament champions, Northern Arizona earned the Big Sky's automatic berth into the 2022 NCAA Division I women's soccer tournament.

The 2023 Big Sky Conference women's soccer tournament was the postseason women's soccer tournament for the Big Sky Conference held from November 1 to November 5, 2023. The five-match tournament took place at Lumberjack Stadium, home of the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks. The six-team single-elimination tournament consisted of three rounds based on seeding from regular season conference play. The Northern Arizona Lumberjacks were the defending champions. Northern Arizona was unable to defend their title as they lost to Idaho in the Final. The 2–1 victory gave Idaho their first Big Sky Conference title. This was the first overall title for Idaho, and the first title for head coach Jeremy Clevenger. As tournament champions, Idaho earned the Big Sky's automatic berth into the 2023 NCAA Division I women's soccer tournament.
