The Billboard Music Award for Top Duo/Group was first presented in 1998 to American R&B music trio Next. British boy band One Direction held the record for most wins in the category, with three as of the 2016 BBMAs, until the 2022 edition, when South Korean group BTS earned their third win and tied for the lead. This article lists the winners and nominees for the Billboard Music Award for Top Billboard 200 Album. The award has been given since 1991 and since its conception only five artists have won the award twice: 50 Cent, Adele, Drake, Eminem, and Taylor Swift.

The Billboard Music Award for Top Selling Song was first presented at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards. "Hello" by Adele was the first song to be awarded this honor. As of 2022, BTS hold the record for most wins in this category, with two awards. BTS also hold the record for most nominations in this category, as a tie with Cardi B. The Chainsmokers, Drake, Halsey, Imagine Dragons, Megan Thee Stallion, Charlie Puth, and The Weeknd, are the only other artists with multiple nominations, each have been nominated twice.

The Billboard Music Award for Top Songs Sales Artist was first presented at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards. The Weeknd was the award's inaugural recipient. Drake and BTS are the most-awarded artists in the category, both having won twice: the former in 2017 and 2019, and the latter in 2021 and 2022. Drake, Post Malone, and The Weeknd are the most-nominated artists in the category, each having earned three nominations apiece since 2016. BTS became the first group and Korean artist in BBMA history to win the award, at the 2021 ceremony.

The MTV Video Music Award for Best K-Pop award was first introduced at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2019. It was criticized by K-pop fans for segregating their artists from major categories such as Video of the Year and Artist of the Year.
