Black Creek is a stream in the U.S. state of Georgia. [1] It is a tributary to the Ogeechee River.
A stream is a body of water with surface water flowing within the bed and banks of a channel. The stream encompasses surface and groundwater fluxes that respond to geological, geomorphological, hydrological and biotic controls.

Atlanta's metropolitan area contains about 55% of the population of the entire state.
Black Creek's name is an accurate preservation of its native Creek name, Weelustee ("black water"). [2] A variant name was "Weelustie Creek". [1]
The Muscogee, also known as the Mvskoke, Creek and the Muscogee Creek Confederacy, are a related group of indigenous peoples of the Southeastern Woodlands. Mvskoke is their autonym. Their original homelands are in what now comprises southern Tennessee, all of Alabama, western Georgia and part of northern Florida.
