Boeckenberg Korfbal Club is an amateur korfball club from Deurne, Belgium. The club hs been dominating Belgian korfball since the 2006-07 season, only losing the title once as of 2011 [update] , to Scaldis in the 2009-10 season. In the seventies the club also won two titles.
As national champion, the club has participated 9 times in the IKF Europa Cup. On each participation, Boeckenberg won the silver medal in this competition for European club champions.

Korfball is a ball sport, with similarities to netball and basketball. It is played by two teams of eight players with four female players and four male players in each team. The objective is to throw a ball into a netless basket that is mounted on a 3.5 m high pole.

Koninklijke Lierse Sportkring, often simply known as Lierse, was a Belgian professional football club from the city of Lier in the Antwerp province. The Korfball European Cup was the main annual korfball competition for clubs in Europe. The first Europa Cup took place in 1967 in London (England), with two teams from the Netherlands, Belgium and the host nation England. Ons Eibernest from The Hague won the first tournament. The tournament was won exclusively by clubs from the Netherlands and Belgium, and Mitcham (England) and Adler Rauxel (Germany) were the only clubs outside Netherlands and Belgium to reach the final. In January 2022, the IKF announced that the IKF Europa Cup and IKF Europa Shield would be replaced by the IKF Europe Korfball Champions League for the 2022-23 Season.
The Europa Shield was an annual korfball club competition run by the International Korfball Federation from 2001 till 2020. Clubs qualified for this competition based on their performance in their national leagues. Included were the second and third classified for the "B" countries and the first classified for "C" countries. It was the second-tier competition of European korfball clubs, ranking below the Europa Cup. In January 2022, the IKF announced that the IKF Europa Cup and IKF Europa Shield would be replaced by the IKF Europe Korfball Champions League for the 2022-23 Season.
Trojans is a korfball club based in Croydon, England. The club was established in 1972 and is part of the England Korfball Association. They are 11 time National League Champions, 4 time EKA Cup Champions and have also won the Europa Shield in 2007 in Vilanova i la Geltrú and a bronze medal at the Europa Cup 2012 in Warsawa, bronze medal at the Europa Cup 2017 in Sassenheim and bronze medal at the Europa Cup in 2019 in Kortrijk.

Highbury Korfball Club succeeded Arsenal Korfball Club, which was established by Hugh Barker in 1998. Rebranding occurred to avoid confusion with the football team of the same name.

The championship has been awarded roughly every four years since the inaugural tournament in 1978. The current champions are the Netherlands, who won the 2023 IKF World Korfball Championship.
The 2011–12 Korfball Europa Cup is the main korfball competition for clubs in Europe played in the season 2011-2012.
FJEP Bonson, is an amateur Korfball club from Bonson, France. The club has dominated French korfball since the 2004/05 season. In the nineties they also won several national titles.

In 1979, when the game was first introduced in India, korfball popularity has continued to rise and now the game is being played in 27 States with each state having its own association to promote and organize events. Korfball is recognized by the Union Ministry for Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India and national championships in senior, junior and sub-junior categories and the inter-University and inter-school championships are being held regularly.
Korfball in Wales has been played since 1991 and is managed by the Welsh Korfball Association/Cymdeithas Pêl-Côrff Cymru. The association was established in 2002 and the Welsh Korfball Squad was formed in 2005. In 2007, the International Korfball Federation admitted Wales as an associate member.
