The Netherlands is a country located mainly in Northwestern Europe. The European portion of the Netherlands consists of twelve separate provinces that border Germany to the east, Belgium to the south, and the North Sea to the northwest, with maritime borders in the North Sea with Belgium, Germany and the United Kingdom. Together with three island territories in the Caribbean Sea—Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba— it forms a constituent country of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The official language is Dutch, but a secondary official language in the province of Friesland is West Frisian.
Rotterdam is the second-largest city and a municipality of the Netherlands. It is located in the province of South Holland, at the mouth of the Nieuwe Maas channel leading into the Rhine–Meuse–Scheldt delta at the North Sea. Its history goes back to 1270, when a dam was constructed in the Rotte, after which people settled around it for safety. In 1340, Rotterdam was granted city rights by the Count of Holland.
Suriname, officially known as the Republic of Suriname, is a country on the northeastern Atlantic coast of South America. Louis Napoléon Bonaparte was a younger brother of Napoleon I, Emperor of the French. He was a monarch in his own right from 1806 to 1810, ruling over the Kingdom of Holland. In that capacity he was known as Louis I.

Under the Habsburgs, the Netherlands were organised into a single administrative unit, and in the 16th and 17th centuries the Northern Netherlands gained independence from Spain as the Dutch Republic. The high degree of urbanization characteristic of Dutch society was attained at a relatively early date. During the Republic the first series of large-scale Dutch migrations outside of Europe took place.

Louis de Deyster, also known as Lodewyk Deyster, was a Flemish artist and maker of musical instruments. His baroque paintings show a clear influence of Italian masters like Giordano, Maratta, Barocci and southern Dutch painters like Rubens, Van Dyck and Boekhorst. His daughter, Anne de Deyster, born in 1696, also became a painter and maker of musical instruments.

The Eindhovense Mixed Hockey Club was a Dutch field hockey club, which was located in Eindhoven, Noord-Brabant. The club was founded on October 14, 1921, and had about 1,000 members. This made it the second biggest club of the city, after neighbouring Oranje Zwart.
Veillonella are Gram-negative bacteria anaerobic cocci. This bacterium is well known for its lactate fermenting abilities. They are a normal bacterium in the intestines and oral mucosa of mammals. In humans they have been rarely implicated in cases of osteomyelitis and endocarditis, for example with the species Veillonella parvula.

Vert skating is riding inline skates or roller skates on a vert ramp, a half-pipe with some vertical ascent, usually between 6in to 24in. Vert skating is a form of acrobatics performed with skates. The purpose of vert skating is to ride higher than the coping and perform spins or flips. It focuses on complicated aerial maneuvers, such as spins and flips. The intent of the skater is to build speed until they are of sufficient height above the edge of the ramp to perform various aerial acrobatics. In competitions skaters have limited time, often less than a minute, to impress the judges by landing numerous and difficult tricks, having a good flow and consistency, having creativity with the routine and most importantly having a good style.
The 1978 Women's Hockey World Cup was the third edition of the Women's Hockey World Cup. It took place from 16–24 September in Madrid, Spain. The Netherlands won the title defeating West Germany in the final on 24 September.
