The Bristol & District Cricket Association (BDCA or B&D) is an English cricket association that organises league and cup competitions in the Bristol area. [1] The association covers Bristol, as well as parts of South Gloucestershire and North Somerset.
The league competition serves as a feeder league to the West of England Premier League (WEPL) as part of the pyramid structure of club cricket, with the winners of the B&D Senior Division gaining promotion to the Bristol & North Somerset Division of the WEPL. [2] [3]

Bath CC Men’s 1st XI won the ECB National Club Championship in 2021.
Somerset Premier is an English rugby union league which sits at the eighth level of league rugby union in England involving teams based in the county of Somerset as well as some teams based in Bristol. Originally a single division called Gloucestershire/Somerset, in 2000 the division split into two county leagues called Gloucester Premier and Somerset Premier.
Counties 1 Western North is an English rugby union league. Originally a single division called Western Counties, in 1996 the division split into two regional leagues called Western Counties North and Western Counties West. Western Counties North was renamed Counties 1 Western North prior to the 2022–23 season and is currently a seventh tier league for clubs based in the south-west of England; mainly Bristol, Gloucestershire and Somerset. The champions are promoted to South West 1 West and the runner-up plays the second team in Western Counties West, with the winning team gaining promotion. The number of teams relegated depends on feedback following promotion and relegation in the leagues above, but is usually two or three to Gloucester Premier and Somerset Premier. Although 2nd XV rugby is part of the Somerset regional league system, only 1st XV teams are allowed in Tribute Western Counties North.
Somerset County Cricket Club competed in four domestic competitions during the 2009 English cricket season: the first division of the County Championship, the Friends Provident Trophy, the first division of the NatWest Pro40 League and the Twenty20 Cup. Through their performance in the Twenty20 Cup, the team qualified for the Champions League Twenty20. They enjoyed a successful season, but fell short of winning any competitions, prompting Director of Cricket Brian Rose to say "We've had enough of being cricket's nearly men."

The season began on 21 September 2019 and was scheduled to conclude on 22 March 2020. However, the final round was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On 27 May, the final round was cancelled and all remaining matches were awarded as 0-0 draws.
