Britt Black is a Canadian rock musician. Her song "Night Time" was included in the game Scarface: The World Is Yours soundtrack.
Black's musical career began at the age of ten when she co-wrote with pop rock artist Bif Naked for the track "Violence", released on Lava/Atlantic. At the age of fourteen Britt founded the all female teen group LiveonRelease. The band was signed to AOL Time Warner where it released two albums, Seeing Red and Goes on a Field Trip. The success of these records landed the band on international showcases, along with starting a blitz on Canada's media including several high rotation music videos and spots on national TV and radio shows. The band's premier single "I'm Afraid of Britney Spears" was featured on the soundtrack for the movie Dude, Where's My Car? . When LiveonRelease eventually broke up, Black was quickly taken on by Bif Naked to perform as lead guitarist.
Black released her first solo album, Blackout, in Canada in 2005 and in America on July 25, 2006 through Bodog Music/Sony/Red. That summer, she was on the Vans Warped Tour. At the end of 2007, Britt Black announced on her MySpace page that she was taking a break from touring to write and record her second album.
In February 2008, she also announced on her MySpace that she was developing a new band. The name of the new band was Stay Beautiful, and featured Britt Black and Marcus Ireland on lead vocals. In March 2009, Black announced on MySpace that she would be playing guitar in Lillix. In April 2010, Lillix announced on their website that she had left the band "as of winter 2009." Black is currently owner of Brittin.Scissor.Hands and is a Hair Stylist at Clear Hair Studio in Vancouver, BC. When asked if she still plays music, she replied "Never again".[ citation needed ]

Lillix was a pop rock band from Cranbrook, British Columbia, Canada, formed in 1997 when the early members were in high school. The band was originally an all-girl group under the name Tigerlily composed of guitarist Tasha-Ray Evin, keyboardist Lacey-Lee Evin, bassist Louise Burns, and drummer Sierra Hills. In 2001 the band was signed by Maverick Records and changed their name to Lillix as there was another band called Tigerlily. Hills left in 2002 and was replaced by Kim Urhahn, and later by Alicia Warrington, a future WWE NXT ring announcer under the name Alicia Taylor. Urhahn has been among a rare group of left-handed female drummers. The band was considered on hiatus from late 2006 through 2009 due to the folding of their label, Maverick Records, and officially disbanded after the release of their independent third album in 2010. Their debut album Falling Uphill was an international success, selling more than half a million copies worldwide.
Belly is an alternative rock band formed in Rhode Island in 1991 by Tanya Donelly. The original lineup consisted of Donelly on vocals and guitar, Fred Abong on bass, and brothers Tom and Chris Gorman on guitar and drums respectively. The band released two albums during the early 1990s alternative rock boom before breaking up in 1995. Her Royal Majesty's Records (HRMR) is a Canadian independent record label founded in Vancouver in 1995 by Bif Naked and Peter Karroll and managed by Peter Karroll. Originally HRM Records was created to be a home for Bif Naked's music after Plum Records folded up shop after the release of Bif Naked's self-titled release. Peter Karroll licensed Bif's songs to many major labels and did co-venture music projects including mixing and recording tracks for Films and Television. Peter Karroll co-wrote, produced and mixed many successful tracks including Platinum and Gold selling albums and singles with Bif Naked. In 2005 Peter Karroll merged the music label with Bodog to create Bodog Music and Bodog Entertainment. Her Royal Majesty's Records was the backbone of the Bodog entertainment juggernaut and combined with the Artist Management company TKO Entertainment Corp the Bodog Entertainment entity produced over 150 Network Television shows in the US and licensed in many countries. As well live events on In Demand and music television programing on the Fuse Network all contributed to the overall success of Bodog Entertainment. In 2008 the entertainment companies were unmerged and Peter Karroll moved forward more albums with Bif Naked and DMX the American rap / hip hop superstar. During the Bodog Era Peter signed and released the Legendary Hip Hop group the WuTang Clan. Thousands of Live events were produced with the Artists from HRMR / Bodog with them touring extensively on major festivals and tours such as Warped Tour, Family Values, Rock Am Ring, Rock Am Park, Hultsfred Festival Bif Naked's largest attendance in the headline position was 2011 in Cloverdale BC where she performed in front of 110,000 estimated audience.

The Vincent Black Shadow is a Canadian alternative rock band that was signed to the Bodog record label in 2006 and to Beef Records in 2008. Originally consisting of Cassandra Ford on vocals, brothers Rob Kirkham on guitar, Anthony Kirkham on drums, and Chris Kirkham on bass, with Mary Ancheta on keyboards. As of 2010, Nikki Hurst replaced Ford as lead vocalist when Ford expressed interest in taking a break to go to school.
