A cannon is a large-caliber gun classified as a type of artillery, which usually launches a projectile using explosive chemical propellant. Gunpowder was the primary propellant before the invention of smokeless powder during the late 19th century. Cannons vary in gauge, effective range, mobility, rate of fire, angle of fire and firepower; different forms of cannon combine and balance these attributes in varying degrees, depending on their intended use on the battlefield. The 1991 California Golden Bears football team represented the University of California, Berkeley in the 1991 NCAA Division I-A football season. California played their home games at Memorial Stadium. Led by head coach Bruce Snyder and quarterback Mike Pawlawski, the Golden Bears won the Florida Citrus Bowl, 37–13, finished with a 10–2 record, and climbed from being unranked in the preseason to being ranked eighth in the final AP Poll. California scored 443 points and allowed 239 points in 12 games.

Blackstone College for Girls was a private, religious school for young women in Blackstone, Nottoway County, in the U.S. state of Virginia. The school operated under the auspices of the Virginia Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church, South between 1894 and 1950. The Virginia Department of Historic Resources acknowledged the significance of the site by erecting historical marker number K 174 in 1996. Blackstone College is also designated as a site on the Civil Rights in Education Heritage Trail. The school buildings still stand. Since 1955, the Virginia United Methodist Church has used the former school buildings as a conference center.
The siege of Viborg took place in the spring of 1710 during the Great Northern War (1700–1721), as a second attempt by the Russians to capture the fortress port of Viborg, near the modern border between Russia and Finland, after a failed attempt in 1706. After the outbreak of the war, Swedish forces had fortified themselves in the port of Viborg. In order to assure safety for the newly founded city of Saint Petersburg, Peter the Great ordered the Swedish fort to be secured. A first unsuccessful attempt was made in 1706. Later plans were put on hold because of other ongoing conflicts but, after the Russian success at the Battle of Poltava in June 1709, the men and resources were available to capture the town.

Aimed primarily at teens and tweens, its programming includes a variety of live-action series inherited from sister channel Nickelodeon. The channel launched on September 28, 2009, as the merger between two defunct programming blocks which also targeted a teenage audience: TEENick on Nickelodeon and The N on Noggin. Before its introduction as a channel, TeenNick's space used to be held by Nick GAS and a short-lived, 24-hour version of The N.

William G. Fricke House is a home by American architect, Frank Lloyd Wright, in Oak Park, Illinois, United States. Fricke commissioned the home in 1901 and it was finished the next year. Wright used elements in the building that would appear in his Prairie style homes: a high water table, horizontal banding, overhanging eaves, shallow hipped roofs, and an exterior with an expansive amount of stucco. Wright usually emphasized the horizontal in his house designs, but the Fricke house is different by having a three-story tower.
