Burnie/Yeoman Cricket Club (BYCC) is a cricket team which represents Burnie in the North Western Tasmanian Cricket Association grade cricket competition, in the Australian state of Tasmania.
The Burnie Yeoman Cricket Club was formed in 1989 when the Burnie Cricket Club and the Yeoman Cricket Clubs decided after many meetings to combine and form the Burnie Yeoman Cricket Club to be based at the Les Clarke Oval at Cooee, a suburb of the city of Burnie on the North West Coast of Tasmania A state of Australia.

Burnie is a port city on the north-west coast of Tasmania. When founded in 1827, it was named Emu Bay, being renamed after William Burnie, a director of the Van Diemen's Land Company, in the early 1840s. Burnie was proclaimed a city by Queen Elizabeth II on 26 April 1988.

Geoffrey Bernard "Paddy" Martin was an Australian rules footballer who played in Tasmania with Launceston, Sandy Bay, Ulverstone and Burnie. Martin also represented Tasmania once in first-class cricket.

The locality is about 11 kilometres (6.8 mi) south-east of the town of Burnie. The 2016 census has a population of 404 for the state suburb of Stowport. It includes Glance Creek in its population statistics.
Upper Burnie is a residential locality in the local government area (LGA) of Burnie in the North-west and west LGA region of Tasmania. The locality is about 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) south of the town of Burnie. The 2016 census provides a population of 1821 for the state suburb of Upper Burnie. It is a suburb of Burnie in north-west Tasmania. It is situated on the hill above Burnie accessed via Mount Street.
