By Any Means is an American thriller directed by Leighton Spence and starring Brooke Burfitt, [2] Thomas Gipson, Jonathan Cheban, and Michelle Money. The film had its first screening in Ireland before a run of international film festivals around the world in 2016. [3] Gravitas Ventures acquired the distribution rights of the film , which was released by video on demand and on DVD on June 27, 2017.

Awards

By Any Means was officially selected for a number of film festivals around the world, including Ramsgate Film Festival [4] and was official selected for the Bermuda International Film Festival. [5] [6] The film won at the 2016 Wexford Film Festival where it took home the Best Film award and Brooke Burfitt for Best Actress. [7] The film won Best International Feature Film at the Polish International Film Festival 2017.

The film received media attention after convicted kidnapper Lukasz Herba stated in the closing statement of his trial that he was inspired after watching the movie. [8] Herba, a UK resident from Poland, was sentenced to almost 17 years in jail for his role in the abduction of Chloe Ayling in Milan in July 2017, eight weeks after the release of the film.[ citation needed ]

Clouds of Sils Maria is a 2014 psychological drama film written and directed by Olivier Assayas, and starring Juliette Binoche, Kristen Stewart, and Chloë Grace Moretz. The film is a French-German-Swiss co-production. Principal photography took place from August to October 2013, with most of the filming taking place in Sils Maria, Switzerland. The abduction of Chloe Ayling occurred in July 2017 while Ayling, a British page 3 model, had travelled to Milan, Italy for a fake photo-shoot. There, she was abducted by two individuals claiming to be members of a criminal organisation called The Black Death Group. In June 2018, Łukasz Herba, a Polish national from the United Kingdom, was convicted in a Milan court of the kidnapping and sentenced to 16 years and nine months in prison.

Kidnapped: The Chloe Ayling Story is a six-part British television series, based on the true life kidnapping of British model Chloe Ayling. It is made for BBC Three with Nadia Parkes in the lead role. BBC Studios produced the series which has been written by Georgia Lester, directed by Al Mackay and produced by Clare Shepherd.
