The Clube Desportivo Universidade Agostinho Neto or simply CDUAN, formerly Centro Desportivo Universitário de Angola or CDUA, is a semi-professional basketball club from Luanda, Angola. On March 3, 2005, a decision was made by a General Assembly meeting that the club's name - Centro Desportivo Universitário de Angola (CDUA) - be changed to the current name. The club is attached and sponsored by the state-run Agostinho Neto University, with the university chancellor serving as the club's chairman. [1]

Agostinho Neto Airport airport

The Agostinho Neto Airport was an airport located near the town of Ponta do Sol on the northern tip of the island of Santo Antão, Cape Verde. The airport was named after Agostinho Neto, an Angolan politician who lived on the island during his exile. On 7 August 1999 TACV Flight 5002 from São Pedro Airport to Agostinho Neto Airport crashed, killing all 18 occupants. For safety reasons, the airport was closed in the 1990s. Since then, Santo Antão does not have an airport. There are plans to build a new airport near Ponte Sul, west of Porto Novo. Construction should start in 2020.

C.D. Maculusso (basketball)

The Clube Desportivo O Maculusso, formerly Club Desportivo Têxtil de Luanda, is an Angolan multisports club based in Luanda. Desportivo do Maculusso was named after its major sponsor, a textile factory in Luanda called Macambira. As the textile factory went out of business in 1999, the club was renamed after the neighborhood in which it was located, the neighborhood of Maculusso in Luanda. The club's women's basketball team competes at the local level, at the Luanda Provincial Basketball Championship and at the Angola Women's Basketball League.
