The Campania regional election of 2015 took place on 31 May 2015. [1] The centre-left candidate Vincenzo De Luca defeated incumbent governor Stefano Caldoro and became the new President of Campania.
Vincenzo De Luca is an Italian politician, member of the Democratic Party. De Luca was Mayor of Salerno for more than 17 years and has served as President of the Campania region since 18 June 2015.

The Italian regional elections of 3–4 April 2005 were a major victory (11-2) for the centre-left The Union coalition, led by Romano Prodi.
