Martha Rosler is an American artist. She is a conceptual artist who works in photography and photo text, video, installation, sculpture, and performance, as well as writing about art and culture. Rosler's work is centered on everyday life and the public sphere, often with an eye to women's experience. Recurrent concerns are the media and war, as well as architecture and the built environment, from housing and homelessness to places of passage and systems of transport.

The Metropolis of Lyon, also known as Grand Lyon, is a French territorial collectivity located in the east-central region of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. It is a directly elected metropolitan authority encompassing the city of Lyon and most of its suburbs. It has jurisdiction as both a department and a métropole, taking the territory out of the purview of the department of Rhône. It had a population of 1,411,571 in 2019, 37% of whom lived in the city of Lyon proper.
Project 1975 started in 2010 as a two-year project based in the Netherlands with the intent to explore the relationships between contemporary art and postcolonialism. Through this project Stedelijk Museum Bureau Amsterdam (SMBA) explored the role of art and visual culture in the context of colonial practices. The project consisted of multiple exhibitions, seminars, reading groups, articles, and a blog. "1975" in the title refers to the year that Suriname gained independence and the Netherlands thus became to some extent "postcolonial".

Marina Vishmidt is an American writer, editor and critic. Timoteus Anggawan Kusno is an Indonesian visual artist, researcher, and filmmaker. Kusno's works explore the lasting effects of colonialism and power through installations, drawings, and moving images. His meta-fictional approach reflects on the role of medium in narrative creation and examines the mechanisms of "history-making." Kusno's works have been featured in international cultural institutions and biennales, including at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, where Kusno worked with the museum's collection. Kusno's artwork powerfully exposes the neglected and violent legacy of colonial history and its ongoing impact on the present day. He was also awarded the 2021 Video Production Award from the Han Nefkens Foundation – Loop Barcelona. He is the founder of the Centre for Tanah Runcuk Studies, an experimental art project.
Petra Bauer is a Swedish artist and filmmaker. She is Research Leader at the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm, Sweden. Her art intersects with political and social organizing, especially by women, and includes many collaborations with existing organizations.
