Arlette Pinheiro Esteves TorresONM, better known by her stage name Fernanda Montenegro, is a Brazilian stage, television and film actress. Considered by many the greatest Brazilian actress of all time, she is often referred to as the grande dame of Brazilian theater, cinema, and performing arts. She is the first, and to date the only, Brazilian nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress. She is also the first and only actress nominated for an Academy Award for a performance in a Portuguese language film, for her work in Central Station (1998). In addition, she was the first Brazilian to win the International Emmy in the category of Best Actress for her performance in Doce de Mãe (2013).

He was also awarded Best Director for his second film, Ato de Violência, this time at the 1980 Brasília Film Festival. He won Best Editing Award for Guerra Conjugal and O Chamado de Deus at the 1974 and 2000 Brasília Film Festival respectively, and for Dois Perdidos numa Noite Suja at the 2002 Gramado Film Festival.

Juliana Rojas is a Brazilian filmmaker who was born in Campinas, São Paulo. She graduated in Cinema in Escola de Comunicação e Artes da USP where she met fellow Brazilian filmmaker Marco Dutra. This was the beginning of a long partnership between them. In 2004, while still in school, they codirected a short film called Lenço Branco. Their short film was part of a section of the Cannes Film Festival that is dedicated to university films, Cinéfondation. Three years later, in 2007, Um Ramo, another short film directed by Rojas and Dutra, would be nominated to Semaine de la Critique of Cannes Film Festival. In 2011, her first feature film would be premiered in the Festival, in the "Un Certain Regard" section. Her film, Good Manners was nominated in 2017 at the Locarno Film Festival. She has also worked as an editor.
