Cornelis "Cees" van Bruchem (born 25 February 1950 in Bruchem) is a former Dutch politician. Until 2008, he was a member of the ChristianUnion (ChristenUnie). Before that he was a member of its predecessor the Reformatory Political Federation (RPF). He was a Senator from 1999 to 2003. Previously he was a councillor from Kerkwijk and Zaltbommel, and also an alderman in last one.

Suriname or Surinam, officially known as the Republic of Suriname, is a country on the northeastern Atlantic coast of South America. Mark Holland is a Canadian politician and current Chief Government Whip. In the 2004 federal election he was elected to the House of Commons of Canada as a candidate of the Liberal Party in the Ontario riding of Ajax-Pickering. Holland was subsequently re-elected in the 2006, 2008, and the 2015 federal elections. He was defeated in 2011 where he became the director of health promotion and public affairs with the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada and was subsequently promoted to the roles of executive director for the Ontario Mission and national director of children and youth, before returning to federal politics in 2015. In August 2018, he was promoted to the position of Chief Government Whip.
Speedcubing is a sport involving solving a variety of combination puzzles, the most famous being the 3x3x3 puzzle or Rubik's Cube, as quickly as possible. For most puzzles, solving entails performing a series of moves that alters a scrambled puzzle into a state in which every face of the puzzle is a single, solid color. Some puzzles have different requirements to be considered solved, such as the Clock, for which all the dials must be moved into the 12 'o clock position. The standard puzzle sizes are 2x2x2, 3x3x3, 4x4x4, 5x5x5, 6x6x6, and 7x7x7 and the different variations of speed solving, 3x3x3 one handed, 3x3x3 blindfolded, 4x4x4 blindfolded and 5x5x5 blindfolded. There are also different shapes of the famous puzzles, including Pyraminx, Megaminx, Skewb and Square-1. An individual who competes in speedcubing is known as a speedcuber.
The World Cube Association (WCA) is the worldwide non-profit organization that regulates and holds competitions for mechanical puzzles that are operated by twisting groups of pieces, commonly known as twisty puzzles. The most famous of those puzzles is the Rubik's Cube. The WCA was founded by Ron van Bruchem of the Netherlands and Tyson Mao of the United States in 2004. The goal of the World Cube Association is to have "more competitions in more countries with more people and more fun, under fair conditions." In 2017, they started work to become a non-profit organization and on November 20, 2017 the state of California accepted the initial registration of the World Cube Association.

Ron van Bruchem is a well known Dutch speedcuber living in Almere. He helped create the current resurge of Rubik's Cube enthusiasm by founding the international speedcubing community and organizing international competitions. He is also a founder, delegate and former chairman of the World Cube Association, an organization aiming at the spread of speedcubing as a regulated sport. He is also the host of the website speedcubing.com.

Malik Azmani is a Dutch politician and former lawyer and civil servant. A member of the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD), which he led in the 2019 European Parliament election, he has served as a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) since then. Azmani was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2010.
