Charles L. Burgreen (March 6, 1924 - January 20, 2006) was suffragan bishop for the Armed Forces in the Episcopal Church of the United States of America.

A military ordinariate is an ecclesiastical jurisdiction of the Catholic Church, of the Latin or an Eastern church, responsible for the pastoral care of Catholics serving in the armed forces of a nation.
The United States Armed Forces are the military forces of the United States of America. The armed forces consists of six service branches: the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Space Force, and Coast Guard. The president of the United States is the commander-in-chief of the armed forces and forms military policy with the Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of Homeland Security (DHS), both federal executive departments, acting as the principal organs by which military policy is carried out. All six armed services are among the eight uniformed services of the United States.
A commander-in-chief or supreme commander is the person who exercises supreme command and control over armed forces or a military branch. As a technical term, it refers to military competencies that reside in a country's executive leadership, a head of state or a head of government.

The office is equivalent to the Interior Minister of other countries, like the Home Secretary of the United Kingdom, the Minister of Public Safety in Canada or similar to a combination of the Attorney General and Secretary of Homeland Security in the United States.

The Anglican church in the British Armed Forces falls under the jurisdiction of the Archbishop of Canterbury; however, for all practical purposes the function is performed by the Bishop to the Forces. His full title is "The Archbishop of Canterbury's Episcopal Representative to the Armed Forces". The Bishop to the Forces is not a military chaplain. The Bishop always sits in the Church's House of Bishops and (therefore) General Synod; from 2014 to 2021, this fact was utilised to give the Bishop at Lambeth a seat on both.
The Bishopric of the Forces is the Latin Church Catholic military ordinariate which provides chaplains to the British Armed Forces based in the United Kingdom and their overseas postings.
The Convocation of Anglicans in North America (CANA) is a missionary body of the Church of Nigeria. It is in a ministry partnership with the Anglican Church in North America but no longer affiliated with it in any way. Founded in 2005, it is composed primarily of churches that have disaffiliated from the Episcopal Church in the United States of America (ECUSA). CANA was initially a missionary initiative of the Anglican Church of Nigeria for Nigerians living in the United States. It joined several other church bodies in the formation of the Anglican Church in North America in 2009. In 2012, it launched his first offshoot diocese in the United States, the Missionary Diocese of the Trinity, a dual jurisdiction of the Church of Nigeria and ACNA. Today CANA is made up of two Dioceses: the Anglican Diocese of the West led by Bishop Felix Orji and the Anglican Diocese of the Trinity led by Bishop Amos Fagbamiye. In May 2019, this dual jurisdiction arrangement was terminated, though the two organizations are still in an informal ministry partnership. The Primate of the Church of Nigeria, Archbishop Nicholas Okoh appointed Bishop Felix Orji as the Missionary Bishop of CANA in May 2019.
The Military Ordinariate of the Philippines or MOP is the military ordinariate of the Philippines for the Armed Forces of the Philippines, Philippine National Police, and the Philippine Coast Guard. It has jurisdiction over all military, police and coast guard personnel, their dependents, and civilian human resources of all branches of the Armed Forces. Its titular patron is the Immaculate Conception, with SS. Ignatius of Loyola and John of Capistrano as secondary patrons. The Philippine military ordinary is the Most Rev. Oscar Jaime L. Florencio, a former auxiliary bishop of Cebu.
Stephen Venner was Bishop of Dover from 1999 until 2009. He was also Bishop for the Falkland Islands from 2007 and Bishop to the Forces from 2009 until his retirement from both posts in 2014.
Gregorij Rožman was a Slovenian Roman Catholic prelate. Between 1930 and 1959, he served as bishop of the Diocese of Ljubljana. He may be best-remembered for his controversial role during World War II. Rožman was an ardent anti-communist and opposed the Liberation Front of the Slovene People and the Partisan forces because they were led by the Communist party. He established relations with both the fascist and Nazi occupying powers, issued proclamations of support for the occupying authorities, and supported armed collaborationist forces organized by the fascist and Nazi occupiers. The Yugoslav Communist government convicted him in absentia in August 1946 of treason for collaborating with the Nazis against the Yugoslav resistance. In 2009, his conviction was annulled on procedural grounds.
