A suffragan bishop is a type of bishop in some Christian denominations.
The Episcopal Diocese of Washington is a diocese of the Episcopal Church covering Washington, D.C., and nearby counties of Maryland in the United States. Barbara Clementine Harris was an American bishop of the Episcopal Church in the United States. She was the first woman consecrated a bishop in the Anglican Communion. She was elected suffragan bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts, on September 24, 1988, and was consecrated on February 11, 1989. Eight thousand people attended the service, which was held at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston, Massachusetts. She served in the role of suffragan bishop for 13 years, retiring in 2003.

The Diocese of Toronto is an administrative division of the Anglican Church of Canada covering the central part of southern Ontario. The Bishop of Tewkesbury is an episcopal title used by a suffragan bishop of the Church of England Diocese of Gloucester, in the Province of Canterbury, England. The title takes its name after the town of Tewkesbury in Gloucestershire, but the bishop's responsibilities cover the whole diocese. As with all suffragan sees, the need for the see of Tewkesbury is reconsidered every time it falls vacant. In both 2013 and 2016, the diocesan synod recommended that a new bishop be appointed, concluding that the need for a bishop was greater than ever.

John L. Rabb is a former bishop suffragan of the Episcopal Diocese of Maryland. He is a graduate DePauw University, the University of Iowa, and the former Episcopal Divinity School (1976). He was consecrated on October 10, 1998, and retired on January 1, 2011. Rabb's predecessor as suffragan was Charles Lindsay Longest (1989–97).
