The first season of Chinese Million Star, began on July 3, 2011, is a Taiwanese televised singing competition, the last episode aired on January 8, 2012, with a special episode airing on January 15, 2012. The first season consist of 28 episodes.

Contents

The first season of Chinese Million Star was won by Taiwan-American singer Sharon Kwan, while Li Qian and Malaysian Singer Jie Ying Tha named 1st runner-up and 2nd runner-up respectively. Jie Ying Tha was named the "Most Popular" singer of the season.

Contestants

Since 2011 onward, CTV (China Television Company, Ltd) collaborated with Astro where top 5 finalist will then represent Malaysia at the 華人星光大道 Chinese Million Star. The contestants were 颜慧萍 Geraldine, 赵洁莹 Jie Ying Tha, 周艺培 Miko, 黄立强 Licus and 林长金 Kim.

Other contestants include Taiwan-American singer Sharon Kwan, Li Qian, 王翎蓓 Crystal (Top 10) and 李玉钦 Grace.

Chinese Million Star is a Taiwanese singing reality-competition based on the previous program, One Million Star. The series was a remake of One Million Star and adapting competition format based on the seven seasons.

The 2010 Golden Awards was an awards ceremony held in Malaysia. It is the inaugural ceremony and was held at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre in Putrajaya. The list of nominees was published in July and the ceremony took place in September. The show was hosted by 988 FM radio DJ Cheryl Lee and Singaporean host and actor Bryan Wong. A special episode called "Golden Awards Prelude" featuring the nominees from each category was aired on ntv7 during the weeks leading up to the ceremony.

Sisters Who Make Waves 2 is the second season of Sisters Who Make Waves which premiered on January 23 in Mango TV. This season featured 30 celebrities over 30 who compete to form a seven-member girl group. The seven-member group formed on April 21, 2021, composed of Summer Jike, Wang Ou, Rainie Yang, Yang Yuying, Na Ying, Joey Yung and Bibi Zhou.

Battle of the Buskers is a singing reality competition organized by Mediacorp Channel 8. The season premiered on its Mediacorp streaming website meWATCH and its YouTube channel on 23 July 2023, and the finals were held on 5 November 2023. The competition were held across 11 locations islandwide beginning at Hougang Central Hub and ending with CQ @ Clarke Quay Fountain Square.
