Chris Locke is a Canadian stand-up comedian and actor, [1] most noted as the winner of the Canadian Comedy Award for Best Male Stand-Up at the 15th Canadian Comedy Awards in 2014. [2]
A native of Toronto, Ontario, [3] he began his comedy career in the mid-2000s. He has performed at comedy festivals and undertaken his own solo tours, [2] and has released two solo comedy albums, The World is Embarrassing (2014) and Demons Are Eating My Head (2016). [3]
He is a frequent collaborator with Seán Cullen, including the short comedy albums Chris and Seán are Tony and Keith in Nature and Chris and Seán are Tony and Keith in Horror, [4] and joint comedy shows. [5]
In 2018, he premiered the comedy web series Learning Nature with Chris Locke, on Funny or Die. [6] The series, in which Locke tries to create a nature documentary despite not knowing anything about the subject, was a Canadian Comedy Award nominee for Best Web Series, and Locke was a nominee for Best Performance in a Web Series, at the 19th Canadian Comedy Awards in 2019.
In 2024, he received a Canadian Screen Award nomination for Best Lead Performance in a Comedy Film at the 12th Canadian Screen Awards, for his role in the film Who's Yer Father? . [7]
He has been a guest on Stop Podcasting Yourself , [3] and hosts the podcast Happy Good with Chris Locke. [5] He also co-hosts the podcast "Evil Men" with fellow comedians James Hartnett and Michael Balazo.
He is married to comedian and actress Kathleen Phillips. [8]
