Richard Wylly Habersham was an American lawyer from Savannah, Georgia. Habersham graduated from Princeton College in 1810. He was appointed United States Attorney and served until his resignation in 1825. Running as a Whig, he was elected as a representative of Georgia in the United States House of Representatives from 1839 to 1842 and died in office. He is currently interred at Old Cemetery in Clarkesville, Georgia.

Moccasin Creek State Park is a 32-acre (13 ha) state park located on the western shore of Lake Burton in Rabun County in the northeast corner of Georgia. The park features campgrounds; a fishing pier for the physically disabled, the elderly, and children; and walking trails. Even though the surrounding area is mountainous, the camping area is relatively flat.

Mauldin House is a historic home in Clarkesville, Georgia. The home's first owner and namesake was A.M. Mauldin and his wife. Mauldin was a hatmaker with a shop in downtown Clarkesville. It was moved to make way for a road widening project and now serves as a Welcome Center. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 18, 1982. The house was originally located at 102 East Water Street, but is now located at 458 Jefferson Street.
