The Club Naval de Ferrol is a yacht club in Galicia (Spain). This club is located in the harbor city of Ferrol.
The Club Naval de Ferrol was originally established on May 17, 1950, under the name Comisión Naval de Regatas (CNR). Its name was changed Club Naval de Oficiales (CNO) in February 1974 to and its scope of activities was limited to the amusement and entertainment of the Spanish Navy personnel posted to the Naval Station of Ferrol and their families.
Since May 25, 2003, the official name is Centro Deportivo y Sociocultural de Oficiales de Ferrol.
This institution counts with an excellent library (with some antique and rare books) swimming pools, golf courses, football, basketball and tennis courts, restaurants, dancing halls, sailing clubs, and a naval museum.

Racing Club de Ferrol is a Spanish football team based in Ferrol, Province of A Coruña, in the autonomous community of Galicia.
The province of A Coruña is the most North-western Atlantic-facing province of Spain, and one of the four provinces which constitute the autonomous community of Galicia. This province is surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean to the West and North, Pontevedra Province to the South and the Lugo Province to the East.

James MacKay Langtry (1894–1971) was a British Technical Advisor who was seconded by the engineering firm Vickers Armstrong to the Spanish naval shipbuilder Sociedad Española de Construcción Naval (SECN), of which it owned a part. He arrived in Ferrol, Spain, in 1919. He defended the colours of the Racing Ferrol Football Club during the 1920s.
José Romero y Fernández de Landa was a Spanish naval and army officer and the Spanish Navy's first official naval engineer and ship designer. He designed several two and three deck ships of the line in the late 18th and early 19th centuries which fought at the Battle of Cape St Vincent and the Battle of Trafalgar. He is also notable as the writer of Reglamento de maderas necesarias para la fábrica de los baxeles del Rey.
Antonio Azarola y Gresillón was a Spanish Navy officer, rear admiral of the Spanish Republican Navy. He was executed by firing squad on 4 August 1936 at the Ferrol Naval Base in Galicia, NW Spain, by rebel Navy officers for refusing to join the coup of July 1936 against the Spanish Republic that triggered the Spanish Civil War.

Blas de Lezo (F-103) is a Spanish Navy guided missile frigate of the Álvaro de Bazán class. This is the third ship class of air defense frigates in the Spanish Navy. It was named after the 18th century Spanish Admiral Blas de Lezo. The ship was built by Izar Shipbuilding in Ferrol, Spain and entered into service in 2004.
The 1987 Vuelta a España was the 42nd edition of the Vuelta a España, one of cycling's Grand Tours. The Vuelta began in Benidorm, with a prologue individual time trial on 23 April, and Stage 12 occurred on 5 May with a stage from Cangas de Onís. The race finished in Madrid on 15 May.
