Lara State is one of the 23 states (estados) into which Venezuela is divided. The state capital is Barquisimeto.
The PGA European Tour is an organisation which operates the three leading men's professional golf tours in Europe: the elite European Tour, which is the principal golf tour in Europe; the European Senior Tour, for players aged fifty or older; and the developmental Challenge Tour. Its headquarters are at Wentworth Club in Virginia Water, Surrey, England. The European Tour was established by the British-based Professional Golfers' Association through the 1970s, and responsibility was transferred to an independent PGA European Tour organisation in 1984.
The Challenge Tour is the second-tier men's professional golf tour in Europe. It is operated by the PGA European Tour and, as with on the main European Tour and the European Senior Tour, some of the events are played outside Europe. World ranking points are awarded for high finishes in Challenge Tour events. Most Challenge Tour events give 12 OWGR points to the winner, with those co-sanctioned by the European Tour earning 18 points. The Challenge Tour Grand Final gives 17 points to the winner.
Professional golf tours are the means by which otherwise unconnected professional golf tournaments are organised into a regular schedule. There are separate tours for men and women with each tour being based in a specific geographical region, although some tours may hold tournaments in other parts of the world.
The Tour de las Américas (TLA) was the principal men's professional golf tour throughout Latin America and the Caribbean from 2000 through to 2012 when it was superseded by PGA Tour Latinoamérica.

The Argentine Masters or Torneo de Maestros was one of the most prestigious golf tournaments in Argentina, despite not having been played continuously since the inaugural event in 1961. It was always held at the Olivos Golf Club near Buenos Aires.
The Coast Open, or Abierto del Litoral, is a golf tournament played in Argentina. Founded in 1932 as the Torneo de Profesionales, a name only used for the first two editions, it has always been played at the Rosario Golf Club in Rosario, Santa Fe.
The Center Open, or Abierto del Centro, is one of the major regional open golf tournaments in Argentina. Founded in 1927, it has always been held at the Córdoba Golf Club in Córdoba.
The South Open, or Abierto del Sur, is one of the major regional open golf tournaments in Argentina, and is also one of the oldest, having been inaugurated 1918. It has always been held at the Mar del Plata Golf Club in Mar del Plata, Buenos Aires Province. The course plays to a par of 70, and the course record is 59, which was set by Miguel Ángel Martín in the 1987 Open.

The San Luis Open, or the Abierto de San Luis, is a golf tournament on the TPG Tour, the official professional golf tour in Argentina. First held in 2002, it has always been held at the Villa Mercedes Golf Club, in Villa Mercedes, San Luis Province. The tournament was included on the Tour de las Americas from 2006 to 2008.
The TLA Players Championship was a men's golf tournament on the Tour de las Américas, the highest level professional golf tour in Latin America, held from 2002 to 2012. It was held at several different courses in the seaside resort of Acapulco in Mexico.
The TPG Tour is the principal professional golf tour in Argentina. The tour was formed in 2007, following disputes within the PGA of Argentina, who had operated the main professional tour in the country in previous years.
The Colombian Open, or Abierto de Colombia, is a golf tournament on the Colombian Tour and PGA Tour Latinoamérica that was first played in 1945. It has also on occasion been an event on the Tour de las Americas.
The Peru Open, or Abierto de Perú, is the national open golf tournament of Peru. It was first played in 1982, although previous tournaments had previously been held using the same name. It was an event on the South American Tour from 1995 to 2000, and revived as a stop on the Tour de las Américas in 2004, when it was co-sanctioned by the European Challenge Tour, and 2008. It is currently an event on PGA Tour Latinoamérica.
