The Himne de l'Exposició or Himne de València is the official anthem of the Valencian Community, Spain. The song was composed by José Serrano Simeón with lyrics written by Maximiliano Thous Orts for the 1909 Valencian Regional Exhibition. The music is based on a 16th-century anthem dedicated to Saint George, who was the patron saint of the Kingdom of Valencia. It was approved by the mayors of Alicante, Castellón and Valencia in May 1925, and it was declared as the official anthem of the Valencian Community in 1981, with the approval of the Valencian Statute of Autonomy.

President of the Valencian Government

The President of the Valencian Government is the head of government of the Spanish autonomous community of Valencia. The President is chosen by the Valencian parliament, the Corts Valencianes.

Jose Luis Olivas Martinez is a Spanish politician of the People's Party. He was named the third president of the Valencian Government when Eduardo Zaplana moved to Madrid in 2002. A year later he was replaced by Francisco Camps, who took over the leadership of the party in the Valencian Community. Olivas decided then to pursue a business career. In 2003 he was appointed president of Banco de Valencia, in 2004 president of Bancaja and in 2010 vice president of Bankia.

2015 Valencian regional election

The 2015 Valencian regional election was held on Sunday, 24 May 2015, to elect the 9th Corts of the Valencian Community. All 99 seats in the Corts were up for election. The election was held simultaneously with regional elections in twelve other autonomous communities and local elections all throughout Spain.

It occurred under the Kingdom of Valencia between the 13th and 15th centuries, which places it at the end of the European Gothic period and at the beginning of the Renaissance. The term "Valencian Gothic" is confined to the Kingdom of Valencia and its area of influence, which has its own characteristics.

2019 Valencian regional election

The 2019 Valencian regional election will be held on Sunday, 28 April 2019, to elect the 10th Corts of the Valencian Community. All 99 seats in the Corts will be up for election. The election will be held simultaneously with the 2019 Spanish general election. This marks the first time that a regional President has used the prerogative to call a snap election in the Valencian Community, as well as the first Valencian election that will not be held concurrently with other regional elections.

Valencian Media Corporation, also known by its acronyms CVMC or VMC, is an agency of the Generalitat Valenciana, although with management autonomy and functional independence, in charge of producing and disseminating audiovisual products. Since 20 July 2016 is the successor of Radiotelevisió Valenciana, which was closed in 2013 by the ex-president Alberto Fabra by considering unaffordable the cost of staff readmission after justice considered illegal the layoff.
