He acted in over 100 films from the 1970s through to his death at the age of 45 in 1990. He was also the producer and director of the film Gurudev which was released 3 years after his death.
Kanwarjit Paintal Walia, better known as Paintal, is an Indian actor and comedian. He started off as a comic actor and moved on to teaching the art of acting. He has extensively worked not only in numerous movies but also television. He was born into a Sikh family in a village named Tarn Taran which is near Amritsar, Punjab. He lived his early life with his family members in Sadar Bazaar, Delhi. Paintal learnt acting at the Film and Television Institute of India and in 2008 was the Head of the Acting Department of FTII. He came to Bombay in 1969. His brother Gufi Paintal played the role Shakuni in B.R. Chopra hit show 'Mahabharat ', in which he himself played the roles of Shikhandi and Sudama. His son, Hiten Paintal, is also an actor, who worked in movies such as Dil Maange More (2004) and Bachna Ae Haseeno (2008).

Its music is by the duo Kalyanji Anandji, who received a Filmfare nomination for Best Music. The film received a Filmfare Award for Best Sound for P. Harikishan. The film failed to perform at the box office. It was Dilip Kumar's third consecutive failure at box-office, the first and only time in his career since Milan (1946). After this film, he went on an indefinite hiatus and returned after 4 years in Kranti (1981).
Jhuk Gaya Aasman(transl. The Skies Have Bowed) is a 1968 romantic comedy film directed by Lekh Tandon. It stars Rajendra Kumar, Saira Banu, Rajendranath and Prem Chopra. The music is by Shankar Jaikishan. The film is a remake of the American film Here Comes Mr. Jordan (1941). The film was commercially unsuccessful on its initial release, but has since garnered appreciation from both critics and audience. The rights to this film are owned by Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment.
Chaddian Di Doli is a 1966 Punjabi film made in Bombay, Calcutta, India. It was released in 1966 and cast includes I. S. Johar as hero, Helen, Manmohan Krishan, Majnu, Manju, Naseem Banu. The film was written and directed by Lal Singh Kalsi and the Producers were Rangi and Sood. Dharmendra was signed for the lead role and paid advance money but he later returned the money because of dates problem with his schedule. Phool Aur Patthar with O.P. Ralhan started filming and went on to become a hit for him shortly after.

The first film named Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster was released in 2011 and the second film Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster Returns released in 2013. Both films received critical acclaim and perform moderate success at the box office. The third film Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster 3 released in 2018 and received poor reviews from critics for its script and weak plotlines and became a disaster at the box office.
