Dahmar Maurice Smiles (born January 3, 1990, in St. Paul, Minnesota) is an American track and field athlete who specializes in the hurdles.
He received 3 medals in the 2008 MPSSAA 3A Outdoor Track and Field championships and was the 110 high hurdle champion running 14.24 tying the #10 All-Time record. He also earned 3 medals at the 2008 MPSSAA 3A Indoor Track and Field championships and helped lead the mustangs to 3 consecutive team state championship titles. He was also a member of the US# 3 2008 high school indoor 4 × 400 m relay team from Meade Senior High School in Fort Meade, MD that placed 2nd at the National Scholastic Indoor Championships making him an NSIC All-American. He was also a member of the same 4 × 400 m relay team that placed 3rd in the 2008 Championship of America at the Penn Relays.
Smiles ran for Saint Louis University. In his freshmen year he was named Atlantic 10 Track and Field Rookie of the Week a total of 4 times.
At the 2009 Atlantic 10 Track and Field Championships held in Charlotte, N.C. at the Irwin Bell Track and Field Center on the Charlotte campus he finished second in the 400-meter hurdles with a school-record (SLU) time and PR of 53.12. He also finished fifth in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.72. He advanced to the finals of the event after registering a school-record time (SLU) of 14.65 in the prelims. These performances qualified Smiles to run in the 2009 USA Junior Outdoor Championships making him the first Billiken to qualify in more than one event.
At the 2010 Atlantic 10 Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Amherst, Mass, Smiles claimed the first conference title of his career in the 110-meter hurdles, posting a school-record time of 14.02, becoming the first male student-athlete to earn a conference title. He also finished second in the 400-meter hurdles at the A-10 meet, becoming the first Billiken to ever claim two All-Conference honors. Smiles along with teammate Brittany Cloudy helped the women's and men's squads to ninth-place showings, the Billikens' best finish since the program's inception.
In 2011, Smiles repeated as the Atlantic 10 Conference champion in the 110m hurdles at the Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
Smiles is a two-time Atlantic 10 Conference champion in the 110-meter hurdles, winning the title in 2010 and 2011. He also owns four runner-up finishes in A-10 Championships competition, placing second in the 110-meter hurdles in 2012, in the 400-meter hurdles in 2009 and 2010, and indoors in the 55-meter hurdles in 2011. Smiles qualified for NCAA Championships first-round competition three times; he moved on to the NCAA Championships quarterfinal round in 2010 and 2011, making him the only athlete in Billiken track and field history to advance twice. In 2009, he became the only Saint Louis track and field athlete ever to qualify in two events (110-meter hurdles, 400-meter hurdles) at the USATF U20 Outdoor Championships. Smiles holds SLU records in the 110-meter hurdles (14.02) and 60-meter hurdles (8.01).
Smiles was inducted into the Saint Louis Billiken Hall of Fame in 2022.
Kerron Stephon Clement is a Trinidadian-born American track and field athlete who competes in the 400-meter hurdles and 400-meter sprint. He held the indoor world record in the 400-meter sprint, having broken Michael Johnson's mark in 2005.

David Oliver, is the Director of Track & Field at Howard University and a retired American hurdling athlete. As a professional athlete, he competed in the 110 meter hurdles event outdoor and the 60 meter hurdles event indoors. He is the former 110 meter hurdles champion winning the gold medal at the World Championships in Moscow in 2013 with a time of 13 seconds. He won the bronze medal in the 2008 Olympic Games and won another bronze at the 2010 IAAF World Indoor Championships.
The Saint Louis Billikens are the collegiate athletic teams that represent Saint Louis University, located in St. Louis, Missouri. The Billikens compete in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) as a member of the Atlantic 10 Conference. Brenda Taylor is an American track and field athlete who specialises in the 400 meter hurdles. She reached the final of the event at the 2004 Summer Olympics. He is a previous national champion after winning at the 2013 USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, and the current national silver medal holder at the 2014 USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. He was the 2003 NCAA champion in the event and won four hurdles titles in the Pacific-10 Conference. Omoghan "Omo" Osaghae is an American track and field athlete who competes in the sprint hurdles. He is coached by Texas Tech hurdles coach, Dion Miller. He has personal records of 7.45 seconds for the 60-meter hurdles and 13.23 seconds for the 110-meter hurdles.
Omar McLeod is a Jamaican professional hurdler and sprinter competing in the 60 m hurdles and 110 m hurdles. In the latter event, he is the 2016 Olympic champion and 2017 World champion. He was NCAA indoor champion in the 60 m hurdles in 2014 and 2015 and outdoor champion in the 110 m hurdles in 2015; he turned professional after the 2015 collegiate season, forgoing his two remaining years of collegiate eligibility. His personal best in the 110 m hurdles ranks him equal 7th on the world all-time list.
Byron Robinson is an American track and field athlete who competes in the 400 metres hurdles. He holds a personal record of 48.58 seconds for the event. He was the runner-up at the United States Olympic Trials in 2016.
Chris Nelloms is an American male former track and field sprinter who specialized in the 200- and 400-meter dash. In 1992, Nelloms was shot by an unknown assailant during athletic practice in a park. He made a full recovery and returned to competitive running. In 1999, Nelloms was charged and convicted on eight counts of sexual offenses against a minor. He was sentenced to four life terms in prison.
The South Florida Bulls track and field program represents the University of South Florida in the sport of track and field. The program consists of separate men's and women's teams and competes in the American Athletic Conference within NCAA Division I. Both of the Bulls track and field teams are coached by Erik Jenkins, who also coaches the USF cross country teams. The teams practice and host outdoor meets at the USF Track and Field Stadium. While the university sponsors indoor teams as well, the university does not have an indoor track facility suitable to host meets. There is an indoor track in the Campus Recreation Center which the teams use for practice, but it has no space for indoor field events or spectators.
Rai Benjamin is an American hurdler and sprinter specializing in the 400 m and 400 m hurdles. He is the second fastest man in history in the 400 m hurdles with a personal best time of 46.17 s. He won a silver medal at his first Olympic Games in 2021 and won the 400 m hurdles race at the 2024 Summer Olympics. Benjamin also won silver medals and at the World Championships in 2019 and 2022 in the men's 400 m hurdles, and gold medals in the 4 × 400 m relay in 2019 and 2021.
Stanley Grant Holloway is an American professional hurdler and sprinter. He is a three-time world champion, 2024 Paris Olympic gold medalist in the 110 meters hurdles and the second-fastest man in history at the event with a personal best of 12.81 seconds, set at the U.S. Olympic Trials on June 26, 2021. In the 60 meters hurdles, Holloway is the 2022 Belgrade and 2024 Glasgow World Indoor champion and the world indoor record holder with a time of 7.27 seconds set at the 2024 USA Track & Field Indoor Championships.
Amere Lattin is an American track and field athlete who specializes in the hurdles, mostly 400-meter hurdles. He was the silver medalist at the 2019 Pan American Games, running 48.98 in the 400 m hurdles final.
